Dr. Olobayo Theophilus Toyin Commends Governor Aiyedatiwa for Teacher Appointments, Emphasizes Discipline, Dedication for Student Success
Dr. Olobayo Theophilus Toyin, the Principal of Igoba High School in Akure North Local Government Area, has expressed his heartfelt appreciation to Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa for the recent appointment of 1,010 secondary school teachers in Ondo State, describing the move as a significant and welcome stride towards enhancing the state’s education system.
Speaking to Democrat News Magazine during the Inter-House Sports Competition at Eji-Oba High School in Oba Ile, Dr. Olobayo, who was a special guest at the event, commended Governor Aiyedatiwa for listening to the long-standing calls for the recruitment of teachers to address the staffing shortages in secondary schools.
In his words; “For a long time, we have been advocating for the appointment of qualified teachers in secondary schools across Ondo State.
“Today, we must sincerely appreciate Mr. Governor for his foresight and commitment in appointing 1,010 new teachers. This will significantly enhance the quality of education, improve academic performance, and provide our students with better learning opportunities.”
Dr. Olobayo further emphasized that this move would not only address the immediate need for teachers but also positively impact the future of education in the state. He expressed confidence that with the new appointments, the overall academic environment would witness remarkable improvements.
In his remarks to students, Dr. Olobayo called on them to embrace discipline and dedication in both their academic and sporting endeavuors. Commenting on the Inter-House Sports event, Dr. Olobayo commended the athletes for their impressive performances, praising their energy and sportsmanship. He expressed hope that some of the participants would go on to represent Nigeria in international competitions in the future.
“Today, we witnessed incredible talent and sportsmanship, and I have no doubt that some of these young athletes will soon run for Nigeria on the global stage,” he said.
