I am deeply honored to be here today to witness the official commissioning of the Obas House an event that marks a significant milestone and an enduring testament to your administration’s commitment to the preservation and promotion of our rich cultural heritage and revered traditional institutions.
There is no doubt that your leadership has demonstrated an unwavering dedication to restoring the traditional institution to its rightful place of honor and dignity. Through deliberate policies and initiatives, you have revitalized its essence, ensuring its continued relevance in governance and societal development.
Your Excellency, you have laid the foundation for a lasting legacy by approving the statutory five percent allocation for the monthly allowance of Traditional Rulers in the state. This landmark achievement is not mere rhetoric but a genuine act of commitment to our institution. Without a doubt, history will remember this noble gesture, which embodies the true spirit of Omoluabi.
Today, we proudly join the ranks of Traditional Rulers across the nation with a befitting meeting place. This magnificent edifice is a symbol of progress, and we are proud to call it our own. Your Excellency, you have once again proven yourself to be a leader who honors his words—not only in speaking but also in acting decisively.
To my esteemed fellow Kabiyesis, I urge us to continue offering our unwavering support, wise counsel, and fervent prayers for the administration of Hon.(Dr.) Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa. As custodians of tradition and culture, we remain the closest to our people and are uniquely positioned to facilitate the delivery of democratic dividends to our communities.
Your Excellency, you have indeed been a great benefactor of the Traditional Institution since assuming office. Rest assured that we do not take your efforts for granted.
Furthermore, I wish to express my profound gratitude for your promise to provide befitting vehicles for all Obas in Ondo State—an unprecedented gesture since the state’s creation. Your administration has ushered in an era of remarkable progress for the Traditional Institution, and for this, we remain deeply appreciative.
I also extend my heartfelt appreciation to everyone who contributed to the successful and timely completion of this remarkable project.
