Glowing Commendations as Comrade Victor Temitayo Omodara Bows Out of Public Service in Grand Style
Comrade Victor Temitayo Omodara, the esteemed Head of Local Government Administration (HOLGA) in Ijare LCDA, has bid farewell to public service after an exceptional 35 years of devoted and impactful service to the state.
His retirement was marked by a memorable and well-deserved celebration held on the 13th of January, 2025, at the Ondo State Local Government Service Commission Complex in Alagbaka, Akure. The event was filled with glowing tributes and commendations from colleagues, friends, and admirers.
In his address, Dr. Bayo Ilawole, Permanent Secretary of the Ondo State Local Government Service Commission, expressed his deep admiration for Comrade Omodara’s remarkable career. “As the Permanent Secretary, I am honored to join in celebrating a capable and dependable lieutenant, whose career in the Local Government Service has been nothing short of illustrious,” Dr. Ilawole remarked. “Your dedication, commitment, and selfless service to the people are truly inspiring. Throughout your distinguished career, you have demonstrated exceptional leadership, professionalism, and integrity, earning the respect and admiration of colleagues and the community alike.”
He further acknowledged Omodara’s significant contributions to the development of local governance, including shaping policies, implementing impactful programs, and mentoring the next generation of leaders. “Your legacy will continue to inspire and motivate us all to strive for excellence,” he added, offering prayers for the celebrant’s continued enjoyment of his retirement and future endeavors.
Dr. Ilawole also urged others to follow in Omodara’s footsteps to achieve similar success.
On her part, Mrs. Dupe Omoloja, HOLGA of Akure South Local Government, also took the stage to congratulate Comrade Omodara, describing him as a man of honour whose life and work serve as a beacon for others.
Mrs. Omoloja, a multiple award-winner, praised Omodara for his tireless efforts in improving the system and underscored the importance of emulating his virtues of dedication and hard work.
“We are happy for our amiable Comrade Omodara, who has worked diligently to improve the system. He has been justly rewarded for his efforts, and his story should serve as a lesson for those still in active service,” she noted.
Comrade Shadow Fetus OmoKehinde, Director General of Ifedore Local Government Area, also expressed heartfelt gratitude to God for the life and legacy of Omodara.
“Comrade Omodara has made an indelible impact on the lives of many,” OmoKehinde said. “He is highly cerebral and humane, and his contributions to policy formulation and implementation have left a lasting imprint on the administrative cadre. We will greatly miss him, particularly as he becomes the first to retire on grade level 17, a new privilege recently approved by the Governor for individuals of his cadre.”
In his closing remarks, the man of the hour, Comrade Victor Omodara, expressed his sincere gratitude to the numerous well-wishers who attended the celebration.
