New Year Greetings: Comrade Ayodele Samuel Leke, NUT Chairman Celebrates Ondo State Teachers

The Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT) in Ondo State, under the leadership of Comrade Ayodele Samuel Leke, extends heartfelt congratulations to all teachers in the state as they successfully bid farewell to 2024 and embrace the promise of a new year, 2025.

In a press statement shared with the Democrat News Magazine on Friday, January 10, 2025, Comrade Ayodele Samuel Leke expressed profound gratitude for the numerous blessings bestowed upon NUT members throughout the past year, despite the challenges faced.

“We thank God for His grace and mercy in sustaining us through 2024. With faith and trust in the Almighty, we are confident that He will continue to guide and bless us as we step into 2025,” he said.

As Schools resume on 13th of January, 2025,
He also took this opportunity to call upon all members to dedicate themselves to the noble task of teaching, urging them to approach their responsibilities with sincerity and passion.

“Let us treat these children as our own, for it is only by doing so that we can fulfill our duties with conscience and devotion,” he emphasized.

Furthermore, Comrade Leke expressed sincere appreciation for the efforts of the Ondo State Government, particularly Governor, His Excellency Hon. (Dr.) Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa , for the renovation of school buildings across the state.

“We acknowledge and appreciate the Governor’s commitment to improving the infrastructure of our public schools,” he noted.

At the same time, Comrade Leke made a heartfelt appeal to His Excellency, Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, urging the swift completion of the ongoing process to employ additional teachers. “We kindly ask that the recruitment process, which began last year, be expedited to help address the critical shortage of teachers in our schools,” he urged.

As the year unfolds, Comrade Leke reaffirms his commitment to the welfare of teachers and the continued progress of education in Ondo State. May the new year bring renewed hope, strength and success to all.
