Chief (Mrs.) Cilicia Taiwo Ologede, the Olobirin of Eleyowo Community has pointed out that she is the only recognized Chairman of Arijodi/Ologunmolaare family land contrary to the rumour making around that she has been removed.
She pointed out that her appointment as Chairman and that of Pastor E.A Oni as the Secretary of the family land was legally backed up therefore urged the public to jettison the rumour making around in the town by one Boluwaji Ajayi that she has been removed.
Mrs. Ologede made this known while addressing the Democrat News Magazine and other journalists at Eleyowo Community in Akure North on Tuesday March 22, 2022, to clear air on the matter and the latest development on the family land.
In the same way, pointed the family went to the office of AIG and that it was clearly stated that none of them has the right to remove the committee unless the court says.
She said: “Boluwaji Ayayi, Iyabo, Emmanuel Omolere, Bosede Adetoye, Gbenga Omolere, Tope Abudul and others have made themselves thorns in the flesh of the people of the community. “I am using this opportunity to inform the general public not to have any business with them on the basis of the family landed property. Nobody should give them any money.
“They have been perpetrating illegality and the people of the community have decided to take them to the court.
She said: “Boluwaji should allow peace to reign in the land by abiding by the ruling of High Court that says we should go back home to ensure peaceful reconciliation.
Mrs. Ologede said that the piece of the land in qestion was given to her maternal ground father Ologunmolaare/Arijodi by then Deji of Akure land.
She further pointed out that the land was part of the pieces of land that government took from the family and was later released back to the family after much efforts from her and Pastor Oni.
“After the approval by Ondo State Ministry of land we came together and appointed secretary and chairman and things went on smoothly until recently when the children of our siblings came to disrupt the peace we have been enjoying in the community.
“On my own side we have nine children, two sons and seven daughters. For the two sons, we gave 65 plots to one and 60 plots to the other because of their positions.
“For the women, we gave 35 plots to one and 30 plots to other based on their hierarchy in the family and we eveven allocated plots to all grandchildren.
“After the judgment on December 3rd 2021 we called for meeting at the new Palace of Deji in Akure, we made the announcement on Radio and Newspaper but they did not turn up. Instead they went on their separate meeting at Ijoka”
She used the medium to call on Boluwaji Ajayi and his group to desist from dragging the name of the family in the mod by causing mayhem in the community.
Also in his comment, the Secretary of the Family, Pastor E.A Oni said that the family had made frantic efforts to see that the matter is resolved amicably but to no avail as the children show disrespect to elders and make peaceful reconciliation impossible.
In the same way, one of the elders of the family, Surveyor Fagbamigbe said that the two family have been enjoying peace until the ground children came with spirit of covetousness to take over the land and fought the occupants of the land to take over their land by force.
“AIG told them today that they cannot go against the court judgment instead they should go back to court to set aside the judgment, on this note, I will advise them to come together for the purpose of peace in our family.
