Luayo Support Initiative (Lucky Jewels) Distributes Palliatives to Imafon Women Ahead of Aiyedatiwa Governorship Election

The Luayo Support Initiative, popularly known as “Lucky Jewels,” made a significant impact in the Imafon community by distributing palliatives to community women as part of its efforts to support Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa’s re-election campaign.

This outreach was led by Mrs. Felicia Akinbuwa, the group’s coordinator, who shared that the initiative began in February and has since reached all 18 Local Government Areas in Ondo State.

During the event, on 30th of October, 2024 the group engaged with community leaders, including the Olori of Imafon, Olori Titilayo Adegbehingbe, and other women from the community. They discussed Governor Aiyedatiwa’s achievements and urged the people to turn out en masse to support his re-election on November 16.

Olori Adegbehingbe expressed her gratitude to the Luayo Support Initiative for their support and affirmed the community’s backing for the governor’s re-election. She also called on the government to prioritize youth employment and provide soft loans to assist the women in the community in growing their businesses and improving their livelihoods.

Speaking further at The event, Chief (Mrs.) Salaja Titilayo, the Erelu of Imafon, and Mrs. Esther Omotosho, the Eye Lobirin of the community, lauded the initiative for its outreach efforts, emphasizing that such support strengthens the community’s resolve to rally behind Governor Aiyedatiwa in the upcoming election.

 

Oba Samuel Aliu Adegbehingbe, the Olumafon of Imafon Kingdom, has expressed the community’s strong support for Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa in the upcoming gubernatorial election scheduled for November 16, 2024.

During an address at his palace on October 30, 2024, Oba Adegbehingbe welcomed a group of women known as Lucky Jewels, who held a gathering in Imafon to rally the support of local women for Governor Aiyedatiwa’s re-election bid. The monarch emphasized the community’s commitment, assuring that they would deliver a resounding victory for the governor, who has made a positive impact in their lives.

Oba Adegbehingbe highlighted a significant need for road infrastructure in Imafon, which he believes would greatly benefit local farmers by making it easier to transport produce to the market, reducing costs and increasing access. He mentioned that he has personally funded road maintenance annually but believes the governor’s intervention would bring a sustainable solution to the community’s road challenges.

The Olumafon passionately concluded that the people of Imafon consider themselves “lucky people” and are ready to showcase this sentiment on November 16 through their unwavering support for Governor Aiyedatiwa.
