Harvest Of Souls In Honour Of Akeredolu At Ondo State Gospel Crusade
It was a great harvest of Souls in Akure Ondo State Capital during a statewide crusade organized in honour of late Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu as part of activities to keep start his funeral.
At MKO Abiola Democracy Park, the venue of the crusade dinitartaries from all walks of life led by Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa attended the soul enriching service tagged Ondo State total recovery.
Special songs ministration from notable gospel singers like Pastor J. A Adelakun, Dr. Funmi Aragbaye and special prayer sessions from different Christian Fathers in the land.
Speaking at the occasion, the Chairman of Christian Association of Nigeria in Ondo State, Rev. Anslem Ologunwa said that the legacies of Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu will linger on in the memory of Ondo State People and Nigeria.
Ologunwa pointed out that thehis crusade was a testimony of his good life and he he was alive he therefore thanked the Akeredolus for collaborative efforts in putting up the programme.
Akeredolu whose death has been described as a profound loss that devastated the people of Ondo State and Nigeria in general.
While speaking with the Democrat News Magazine at the crusade ground, Sir Charles Titiloye, immediate past Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice in Ondo State, Mr. Bukola Shiyanbola and others Akeredolu’s impacts would continue to help the up coming generation.
They pointed out that during his tenure as the Governor of Ondo State from February 24, 2017, until December 26, 2023, Arakunrin Akeredolu prioritized the welfare of the people and delivered dividend of good governance with tangible benefits.
They added that in the face of protracted insecurity that plagued the Southwest, with the menace of killer herdsmen terrorizing and abducting innocent citizens, the late Akeredolu fearlessly stood at the forefront, defended the rights of the people with unflinching courage and resilience. His commitment to the collective well-being of the people has left an indelible mark on the state.
It would be recalled that Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu passed away on a peaceful note at a Hospital in Germany, where he was undergoing treatment for prostate cancer on the 26th of December 2023.
The Governor of Ondo State, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, his Deputy , Dr. Olayide Adelami among other key government’s functionaries and past Commissioners and political leaders were in attendance.
