History has been made on 16th of December, 2023 as well meaning people from all Walk of life converged at Araromi-Aladodo to make generous donations in support of Kabiyesi Olu Adekunle Opeyemi Emmanuel for the construction of Community Town Hall, Palace and installation of Solar Light among others.
The leadership of Araromi-Aladodo under the rulership of Olu Adekunle Opeyemi Emmanuel, Olowogade 1, has been adjudged as progressive and peaceful which translated to cooperation and development in the community.
In his speech, Olu Araromi-Aladodo Kabiyesi Olu Adekunle Opeyemi said that the purpose of the Community Day was for the people to come together to forster unity and development of the community that has been for over 600 years.
In his words: “Whatever fund we raised here today it shall be used for the development of our community like building of School, Town Hall, New Palace, borehole and Solar Light and so on.
“This community is becoming big day by day and we need all these facilities so that we will not need to close the road whenever we are doing any ceremony in our community; although government is trying for us, we also need to do something in our capacity to move Aladodo forward.
“My sincere appreciation to God Almighty, Deji of Akure, My wife, Olori Opeyemi Emmanuel, Pastor Sunday Adeosun, all Kabiyesis that came to celebrate with me and entire sons and daughters of Araromi-Aladodo community at home and abroad.”
Speaking with the Democrat News Magazine, the Chairman Planning Committee of 2023 Araromi-Aladodo, Mr. Lawrence Olawunmi Ibitoye Falokun who took time to narrate the history of the community pointed out that the first settler over 200 years ago was Baba Olowogade followed by Baba Agbeleri and Baba Afe Adegoroye.
He noted that community were growing steadily since then and the community is named after the habiscous flower planted by One Chief Adanri, Aro of Aponmu who settled down in the community.
“Today is the madien edition of this programme by the grace of God it will be better than this next year.
“Let me also use this opportunity to call on all our sons and daughters that are in far places to come back home and build the community, we have stable power supply and peaceful atmosphere for development”, he added.
One of the committee members that put up befitting ceremony, Pastor (DS) Sunday Adeosun congratulated Kabiyesi Adekunle Opeyemi Emmanuel and entire sons and daughters of the community on the success of first Araromi-Aladodo Day which he said will linger on in the history of the community.
Adeosun whose mother is related to Aladodo community has been contributed in no small measure towards the development of the community in no small measure and the people in general called on other sons and daughters of the town to keep faith with the leadership of Araromi-Aladodo under the rulership of Adekunle Opeyemi Emmanuel
He also used the meduim to call on people of the community to shun rebellion and rather work hard with patience in order to become what God has ordained them to be.
Adeosun said it is God that appoints leader not by force and that if there is any disagreement it should be resolved amicably saying that no good things can come under atmosphere rancour.
Also in her comment, High Chief (Mrs.) Adebola Adegoroye Adebowale, Olobirin of Araromi-Aladodo thanked God for the success recorded in the community under the able leadership of Opeyemi Emmanuel saying that they are all happy with the humility of Kabiyesi Opeyemi.
She prayed for advancement of all the sons and daughters of the community at home and abroad particularly for their generous contributions.
Also speaking at the event Kabiyesi Omotayo, Alakobo of Akobo, Jegede Adedeji Michael, Kabiyesi Omotayo Olwashina, Olu of Oluponaola, Olusola Ogundola Omotosho, High Chief Akinola Kehinde, Lisa of Aladodo called for collaborative efforts with Kabiyesi Adekunle Opeyemi Emmanuel towards moving the community forward.
They commended the leadership of Araromi-Aladodo community saying that it takes a quality leader to galvanize quality development.
