Egbe Omo Elewe-Obi Expends Over N10m To Empower Artisans, Market Women, Students As Community Celebrates Ijare Day 2023
A good numbers of Artisans, Market Women, Students at all levels and aged men and women of Ijare origin in Ifedore Local Government Area of Ondo State have benefited over N10 Millions empowerment from Egbe Omo Elewe Obi as the community rolled out drums to celebrate 2023 annual Ijare Day.
The event which was held at Anglican Grammar School field Ijare, on Saturday, November, 11, 2023 as notable sons and daughters converged from all walks of life.
Delivering his welcome address, the President of Egbe Omo Elewe Obi, Mr. Akin Oluwole thanked God for the success of the past years and for yet another year despite challenges in the country.
In his words: “Amidst continuous shrinking of economies across the globe, the leadership of Egbe Omo Elewe Obi sustained the mobilization of Ijare development partners that made contributions to the pool from where funds were drawn to meet infrastructural needs, intervene in health provisions and support other ancillaries relating to wellbeing of the community.
“While we continue to put in focus some of our flagship projects, like the reconstruction of the Akure-Ijare- Ikere road, tarring of internal roads, the construction of a new Oba’s Palace, etc, we use this opportunity to call on government of Ondo State and critical stakeholders and partners to join in emplacement a new Ijare Community of our dream.
“We plead with our dear Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu to consider the urgent reconstruction of the Akure-Ijare-Ikere road to open up latent economic benefits in Ijare as well as trade and commercial possibilities between sister-states of Ondo and Ekiti.
In a chat with the Democrat News Magazine, the Vice President of Egbe Omo Ijare and the Chairman of Local Planning Committee, Dr. Sola Fayose said thanked God for the success 2023 edition of the event that attracted who- is- who of Ijare origin.
Dr. Fayose who has been put his versed experiences into good use in coordinating the event for some years noted that he and his committee members worked tirelessly to ensure the success of the occasion.
Fayose pointed that they empowered women, aged, students and Artisans to the tune of N10 millions to enable them to meet their basic needs and to live decent lives.
He added that One of the greatest achievements of occasion was empowerment of the community people.
While speaking with the Democrat News Magazine, Prince Isaac Okiloigbo who called for more unity among Ijare sons and daughters to ensure rapid development of the community.
On his part, the Regent of Ijare and High Chief Salotun of Ijare, Ogunleye Joseph Omosebi appreciated God for the success of the occasion and those who contributed generously towards the advancement of the community.
He particularly expressed his heartfelt joy and gratitude to Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN for the upgrading the stool of Olujare to First Class and the creation of Ijare LCDA.
High Chief Omosebi, used the medium to call on all sons and daughters of the Community to be more active in attending to the needs of the noble community and appreciated the Planing committee for the job well done.
In his comment, the Chairman of Ijare Produce Buyers’ Association, Hon. Joseph Oreoluwa Olowomeye said since the annual programme is usually to feast he charged all sons and daughters to focus attention on development and progress of the community.
Olowomeye pointed out Produce Buyers’ Association deals in cocoa, cashew, farm mill and other cash crops and that they have been making contributions in no small measure to the advancement of the community.
In his comment, Chairman Ayesoro Fans Club in Ijare, congratulated the leadership of the community for the success of 2023 Ijare Day celebration which he said was an opportunity for the various age grades and association to fraternize.
In the same he noted that every member of the club has been making their contributions to the community and that they will continue to do.

Adu olatubodun Chairman, Ijare Technocrats, High Chief (Barr.) Wemimo Olaniran, commended the leadership of Egbe Omo Elewe-Obi for the job well done and charged others to emulate their selfless services.
As part of the highlights of the event were the award presentation to some deserving individuals, traditional dances and many Cultural and social displays.
