REMOVAL OF FUEL SUBSIDY: OBA OKUNATO APPEALS TO NIGERIA
Nigerians have been called upon to bear with the leadership of the country as Mr. President ordered the removal of fuel subsidy which culminated to high cost of transportation and some other things related to fuel.
Oba David Olajide Okunato, the Iresi of Osi in Akure North Local Government Area of Ondo State made this known while having a chat with the Democrat News Magazine in his Palace in Akure saying it will not take long before things returned to normal he added that before gold becomes gold he went through refiner’s fire.
On this removal of fuel subsidy that brought about hardship in the country about four weeks now, Oba Okunato said that Nigerians should bear for awhile as things will soon take good shape.
While speaking on the June 12, 1993 as Democracy Day in Nigeria Oba Okunato noted that history will not forget great actors that brought back the nation to democratic system of government.
“Our present President, Bola Tinubu was one of those who fought for democracy in this country, he put his life on line to ensure enthronement of democracy and this makes it unique as we remember 30 years of June 12 1993 peaceful election in Nigeria.
He expressed confidence that no amount of cabal can truncate his government noting that Tinubu has been a leader who knows how to use the instrument of power for the good of the people.
The Royal Father used the medium to pray for the President and governor of Ondo State for good health to enable them carry out their good intention for the citizens of Nigeria.
In the same way, Oba David Okunato called on Nigerians to endeaour to always say good thing about their country and the leaders stressing that what goes around comes around.
