Over 200 Okada riders in Akure have benefited free crash helmets from Hon. Adu Olumiyiwa, the former House of Representatives candidate of People’s Democratic (PDP) in Akure North and South Federal Constituency as part of his corporate social responsibility to the community.
Hon. Adu who was described as a special political breed because of his unabated passion for the development of people and Akure community has been empowering different categories of people in Akure community far before his foray into politics.
Barr. Adu came into politics by divine instructions on ‘rescue mission’ and to change the face of Nigeria politics with the instrumentality of legislation.
According to him, he had 10 Bills already, well articulated for the benefits of the poor masses of Nigeria.
Adu handed out the crash-helmets with the inscription ‘Jegede/Adu for Atiku’s 2023 Presidency’ to the beneficiaries during interaction with leaders of the party in Akure on Sunday, September 12, 2022.
He noted that the importance of lives of the motorcyclists necessitated his gestures as a way to support Okada Riders.
He also pointed out that his party, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) places paramount importance on the welfare and safety of the people and that he is giving the beneficiaries as part of support for the presidential candidate of PDP.
Adu used the medium to appreciate the leaders and entire members the party in Akure North and South for their time to time support and commitment towards him as made known his determination to continue to make impacts.
In a chat with journalists, the former Governorship Candidate of the party, Mr. Eyitayo Jegede, SAN said the party is one and that they will work for the success of all their candidates in 2023 general elections.
He urged all members at all levels to get ready and mobilize massively for the success of the party.
Also speaking at event, a former State Chairman of Association of Commercial Motorcycle Riders of Nigeria in Ondo State, Mr. Jimoh Obabiolorunkosi appreciated Barr. Adu Olumiyiwa for his contributions and timely intervention over the needs of the motorcyclists in the state.
Some of the beneficiaries that spoke with the Democrat News Magazine thanked Adu for extending hands of fellowship to Okada Riders in the state, praying God to grant all his heart desires.
