NATIONAL ORIENTATION AGENCY (NOA)] SUES FOR PEACE OVER ALA ELOFOSAN FARM SETTLEMENT PROTEST

 

The Ondo State Directorate of National Orientation Agency (NOA) has acknowledged the recent protest by farmers and residents of Ajagbusi farm settlement in the Ala Elefosan axis of Akure North Local Government Area, over the unfortunate killings of 3 farmers by suspected herdsmen in the early hours on Tuesday morning. The demonstrators, who brought the lifeless bodies of the victims to the front of the governor’s office has demanded justice for the heinous act.

In a Press Statement issued by the Ondo State Director of NOA Mr James Adekunle and made available to Pressmen in Akure extended deepest condolences to the families of the victims and expressed the commitment of the govt to ensuring perpetrators are apprehended and justice is served.

The NOA Director remarked that the Ondo State government has assured the good people of Ajagbusi farm settlement in the Ala Elefosan axis of Akure North and the entire state that the government is committed to bringing the perpetrators of this heinous act to book. The Police have initiated a thorough investigation into the incident and will work tirelessly to ensure that those responsible face the full weight of the law.

The NOA boss appealed to Protesters to maintain Peace and order, allowing the security agencies to conduct thorough investigations and bring the perpetrators to justice. He assured the farmers, youths and residents of Ajagbusi community and it’s environs that the State Govt will leave no stone unturned in ensuring the safety, security and well-being of all residents in the state are well protected.
