Council Chairman Lauds Governor Aiyedatiwa for Key Appointments- SSG, Commissioners and WAEC Fees Support
The Chairman of Akure East Local Government Development Authority, Hon. Barr. Samson Taiwo Kayode LLM, has expressed his gratitude and admiration for the Governor of Ondo State, Hon. (Dr.) Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, following the recent appointment and swearing-in of key state officials. These appointments included Dr. Taiwo Fasoranti as the Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Kayode Ajulo SAN as the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, and Mrs. Omowumi Isaac as the Commissioner for Finance.
In a statement released from Akure, Barr. Kayode praised the governor for the thoughtful selection of individuals who, he believes, will contribute significantly to the realization of the state’s vision of progress under the “Our Ease” initiative. The Council Chairman emphasized that these appointments are a clear indication of Governor Aiyedatiwa’s preparedness to take Ondo State to greater heights.
“These appointees are capable hands, and I urge them to work tirelessly to fulfill the goals of the Aiyedatiwa administration. Their appointments reflect the governor’s commitment to excellence and service to the people,” Hon. Kayode stated.
Additionally, the Chairman commended the governor for his compassionate initiative to support the education sector by approving a sum of Six Hundred and Thirty-Three Million, Nine Hundred and Eighteen Thousand Naira (₦633,918,000) for the payment of WAEC registration fees for secondary school students in Ondo State public schools. This action, according to Hon. Kayode, will alleviate the financial burden on parents and guardians, allowing students to pursue their educational dreams without financial obstacles.
“Governor Aiyedatiwa’s commitment to the well-being of Ondo State’s people is undeniable, and his actions are a clear indication of the state’s promising future,” the Council Chairman concluded.
