ONDO RETIREES PENSION PAYMENT: ALGON HAILS AIYEDATIWA, DESCRIBES GOVERNOR’S ACTION AS COMPASSIONATE
The Association of Local Government of Nigeria (ALGON) Ondo State Chapter has expressed admiration for the governor of Ondo State, H.E Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa for his disposition towards the promotion of the welfare of the retirees and pensioners of the Ondo State Civil service. The accolades is triggered by the payments of the backlogs of pensions to the retired government employees particularly the Local Government Employee Emeritus from the year 2012.
In a joint statement released in Akure by the Chairman of the Association Hon. Igbekele Akinrinwa and the Public Relations Officer, Hon.Barr. Kayode Taiwo Samson LLM. ALGON expresses her heartfelt gratitudes to the administration of Governor Aiyedatiwa for the kind and compassionate gestures of the government at ensuring that the Senior citizens of our state who have committed the better part of their existence to the service of Ondo State is adequately catered for, now that they are weak and frail.
“We like to thank our amiable governor as well as the members of his cabinet particularly the former Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Alhaji Amidu Takuro who according to him was task with the responsibility of saving funds for this noble purpose.
For us, as members of ALGON, we are overwhelmed with joy to experience the proactivity of our governor which has culminated in the achievement of this milestone.
We are of a firm belief that the empathetic approach of Mr Governor towards leadership and governance will definitely turn things around for our darling sunshine State
We look forward to seeing and feeling more of these right steps in the right direction occasioned by divine wisdom that has become the hallmark of the administration of Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa.
