Akure Oyemekun Ifeoluwa CMU: Divine Glory Group Hosts Grand 2025 Annual Thanksgiving Celebration
In a splendid display of gratitude, the Akure Oyemekun Ifeoluwa Cooperative Multipurpose Union (CMU), Divine Glory Group under the leadership of Pastor Akin Osuntuyi, Vice President of the Union, held a remarkable Thanksgiving service to honour God for the blessing of the new year, 2025.
The event, organized by the Divine Glory Group, took place at the House of Prayer Ministry, Ondo Road, and was attended by a host of prominent personalities who lauded the impactful contributions of the union.
The occasion was graced by special guests, including Prophet Segun Adewumi, General Overseer of House of Prayer Ministry, and Rev. (Mrs.) Funke Felix-Adejumo, the esteemed Guest Speaker from Agape Christian Ministry. Their presence and words of wisdom added a divine touch to the event as members of the union gathered to express their heartfelt thanksgiving.
Speaking with Democrat News Magazine after the service, Prophet Segun Adewumi commended the union’s efforts and described the Programme as a vital and encouraging development. He emphasized the importance of saving, urging individuals to prioritize financial responsibility in the new year. Prophet Adewumi also expressed his admiration for the union’s leadership and acknowledged the positive impact of Akure Oyemekun Ifeoluwa CMU on the community. He shared his perspective on finances, reassuring the congregation that taking loans is not biblically wrong for Christians when done responsibly.
Rev. Aderemi Israel-Martins, Chairman of the 2025 Thanksgiving Planning Committee, also spoke passionately about the significance of the event. He noted that the gathering was a manifestation of the biblical call to let every living soul praise the Lord.
Rev. Israel-Martins took the opportunity to encourage defaulters within the union to settle their obligations, linking the act of paying off loans to the manifestation of divine blessings and good fortune.
The Union Vice President and Coordinator of Divine Glory Group, Pastor Akin Osuntuyi, shared his excitement over the success of the celebration, noting that the event exceeded his expectations.
He invited those who have yet to join the cooperative to do so, highlighting the numerous benefits and opportunities it offers and Pastor Osuntuyi also called on members to adopt a mindset of saving and to commit to making financial growth a priority in 2025.
The event was a beautiful occasion of gratitude, reflection, and a renewed commitment to both spiritual and financial prosperity, as the Akure Oyemekun Ifeoluwa CMU continues to inspire and uplift its members and the wider community.
Also in a chat with Journalists at the occasion High Chief Felix Obagbenle Ikumapayi (JP), MFR, Fellow of Defense College and retired Assistant Director General of DSS commended the leadership for their transparency and prudence in handling the resources at their disposal.
He called on people to invest more in such cooperative society like Akure Oyemekun Ifeoluwa Cooperative society that changed the fortune of many people gloriously since inception in the year 2000.
Ikumapayi called on Nigerians not to slack in taking legitimate opportunity like this to turn around their businesses and investment.
