Multiple Joy as Uka People Celebrate Governor Aiyedatiwa’s 60th Birthday, Election Victory, and Olowo’s 5th Coronation Anniversary

The people of Uka in Owo Local Government Area of Ondo State, under the leadership of Chief Emmanuel Ojo Adelami, have extended their heartfelt congratulations to Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa on his 60th birthday anniversary.

In addition, they used the occasion to celebrate the governor and his deputy, Dr. Olaide Adelami, for their resounding victory at the November 16, 2024, gubernatorial election in Ondo State.

The Uka people recently came together in grand style to honour this dual milestone—Governor Aiyedatiwa’s birthday and his election success. The event was a colorful and jubilant display of unity, as chiefs, youths, men, and women filled the streets with songs of gratitude and appreciation. They acknowledged the overwhelming support of the people of Ondo State, whose mandate has secured a new era of progressive leadership.

The people described the electoral victory as a testament to the trust placed in Governor Aiyedatiwa and Dr. Adelami’s vision for development and progress in the Sunshine State.

Celebrating a Son of the Soil, A significant highlight of the celebrations was the pride radiating from the Uka People as they Honoured Dr. Olaide Adelami, a son of the soil and the newly elected Deputy Governor of Ondo State. The joy of producing the second-in-command was palpable, with youths leading energetic chants and dances to mark this historic achievement.

Dr. Adelami’s reputation as a leader dedicated to impactful governance and philanthropy was praised throughout the celebrations. Known for his selflessness toward widows and vulnerable groups, his integrity and commitment to service have earned him widespread admiration.

Speaking with Democrat News Magazine, Oluka Emmanuel Ojo Adelami, the head of the Uka People, shared insights into the celebration. He emphasized that the event was a deliberate effort to acknowledge the unwavering trust and love demonstrated by the people of Ondo State before, during, and after the elections.

“The overwhelming support of our people was instrumental in securing victory for Governor Aiyedatiwa and Dr. Adelami,” he stated.

He further expressed gratitude to the people of Uka and Ondo State at large for their steadfast support:
“We are using this medium to appreciate our amiable people for their love and support before, during, and after the November 16, 2024, Governorship Election. The people’s mandate has set the stage for remarkable governance in our state.”

Honouring the Olowo of Owo the Uka people also used the occasion to celebrate His Imperial Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Ajibade Gbadegesin Ogunoye III, on his 5th coronation anniversary. They offered prayers for continued wisdom, knowledge, and understanding for the revered monarch and wished him a long and peaceful reign.

Chief Emmanuel Ojo Adelami noted with pride the historic achievement of the Olowo’s kingdom producing a deputy governor, describing it as a divine blessing for the entire Owo community.

As the celebrations drew to a close, the Uka people reaffirmed their commitment to supporting the government of Governor Aiyedatiwa and Dr. Adelami and His Imperial Magesy Oba Dr Ajibade Gbadegesin Ogunoye III, expressing hope for a prosperous and united Ondo State.
