2025 in Projection: Pastor Israel Olukayode Declares It a Year of New Beginnings
Pastor Israel Olukayode, the minister in charge of the Akure Centre of Rehoboth Cathedral, Victory International Church, has urged Nigerians to seek God’s face earnestly this year to fully partake in the new era and blessings the Lord has promised.
Speaking to journalists at the church premises, Victoryland Complex, behind Adegbemile Cultural Centre, off Ijomu/Okejebu, Akure, on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, Pastor Olukayode emphasized the importance of prayers in navigating the year. He revealed that the church leadership has declared a 40-day period of fasting and prayer since January to set the tone for divine breakthroughs.
“No matter the challenges or setbacks of previous years, we must let go of the past and embrace the new things God has planned for us this year,” he stated.
He further called on Nigerians to deepen their commitment to God, saying, “Let us serve God more faithfully so we can fully enjoy His promises.”
Reflecting on the hardships experienced last year, Pastor Olukayode assured that the challenges would soon fade away adding that the policies of government in the new year is a pointer to the fact that things are becoming new in the country this year. He encouraged Nigerians to remain steadfast in prayers for the nation’s progress and prosperity.
Under the guidance of its General Overseer, Bishop T.V. Adelakun, the church has outlined its weekly activities to accommodate worshippers far and near:
Sunday Services: 7:00 AM, 9:00 AM, 11:00 AM, and 5:30 PM
Midweek Service (Wednesday): 5:30 PM
First Saturday Programme: 8:00 AM
Pastor Olukayode extended an open invitation to the public, encouraging them to partake in the spiritual blessings awaiting them at Rehoboth Cathedral.
