AAUA Students’ Union Awards ₦200,000 Cash Prize to Best Graduating Student at 13th Convocation

The Students’ Union of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko (AAUA), led by Comrade Oyindamola Samuel Boladale, has awarded a cash prize of ₦200,000 to Mr. Yembi Glory Oluwadara, the overall best-graduating student of the 2023/2024 academic session.

The award presentation took place at the University’s Multipurpose Hall during the 13th Convocation Ceremony held on Saturday.

Yembi, a graduate of the Department of Business Administration and Faculty of Administration and Management Sciences achieved an outstanding Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 4.73, earning him the top academic excellence for the academic year.

Yembi’s dedication and excellent performance were recognized and commemorated by students, staff, and guests at the event.

The initiative by the Students’ Union marks a significant milestone in student leadership and sets a precedent for future administrations.

In his address, Comrade Boladale highlighted that the initiative reflects the Union’s commitment to promoting academic excellence and recognizing outstanding achievements.

He expressed hope that the gesture would motivate both current and future students to pursue academic distinction.

“This remarkable gesture reflects the AAUA Students’ Union’s proactive approach toward encouraging academic achievements and fostering a culture of excellence within the institution,” Boladale noted.

He further encouraged undergraduate students to draw inspiration from Yembi’s accomplishments, emphasizing that such recognition sets the tone for future generations.
