Ondo Election: Mr. Adeshina Makanjuola, Leader of Ondo Indigenes in Diaspora, Commends INEC, Congratulates Governor Aiyedatiwa

The President of Ipesi-Akoko Indigenes in Diaspora, Mr. Adeshina Makanjuola, has lauded the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for conducting a free, fair, and credible election in Ondo State on Saturday, November 16, 2024.

He described the exercise as a significant improvement over previous elections, commending its seamless and transparent nature.

Speaking with Democrat News Magazine on Monday, November 17, 2024, Mr. Makanjuola congratulated Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, his Deputy, Dr. Olaide Adelami and the good people of Ondo State on the successful election.

He particularly extended his warm regards to his hometown, Ipesi-Akoko in Akoko South-East Local Government, emphasizing that this election marked a milestone for a smooth electoral process in the state.

In his words:”I must commend the high level of maturity and unity demonstrated by our people before, during, and after the election,”

“This spirit of love and cooperation is highly commendable, and I urge everyone to sustain it as we work towards a better Ondo State.”

He also acknowledged Governor Aiyedatiwa’s strides in education, agriculture, and other areas, urging him to intensify efforts in rural road development and community growth.

Highlighting a pressing concern, Makanjuola drew attention to the deplorable state of the Ipesi/Idogun road saying that its negative impact on local farmers, who struggle to transport their agricultural produce to cities.

He appealed to the governor to prioritize the rehabilitation of rural roads to ease the burden on communities.

As he concluded by calling on the people of Ondo State to cooperate with the government to enable the continued delivery of democracy’s dividends, noting that “Rome wasn’t built in a day.”
