Hon. Bosun Ogunleye, SA on Mobilization, Rallies  Support for Gov. Aiyedatiwa Among Midwives in Ondo State

In a continued effort to strengthen grassroots support, Hon. Bosun Ogunleye, the Special Assistant on Mobilization to Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, extended the governor’s campaign to the Association of Midwives in the Akure South Local Government.

The engagement took place on Thursday, October 31, at CAC Okiki Jesu, Aladiro, in Oke, drawing a notable attendance from the association’s members.

During the event, Hon. Ogunleye underscored the importance of Akure citizens rallying in support of Governor Aiyedatiwa in the forthcoming election, emphasizing that a collective vote would not only benefit the present but also create a pathway for future representation of an Akure indigene in leadership of the state.

He highlighted the governor’s impressive achievements across multiple sectors, achieved in a relatively short time, as evidence of his dedication and capability.

Appealing directly to the group, Hon. Ogunleye urged members to take the message back to their respective churches, families, and communities.

“Governor Aiyedatiwa’s vision for Ondo State mirrors the progress seen in big States across the country and your support can make all the difference,” he noted.

He further encouraged the attendees to not to show indifference to upcoming election, reminding them that their votes would significantly impact the future of Ondo State and Akure, its capital.

In response, several members of the association voiced their concerns and requests, primarily calling for greater government support. They highlighted the need for empowerment programmes and accessible loans to uplift their standard of living.

In the same way, they sought more governmental recognition and advocated for regular training and retraining programmes for midwives, referencing the recent initiatives by the Oyo State government for midwives in Ibadan as a model.

Acknowledging their requests, Hon. Ogunleye assured them he would personally convey their appeals to the governor, while encouraging them to continue praying for the prosperity of Ondo State and Nigeria. Addressing the prevailing economic challenges, he urged patience and understanding, citing President Tinubu’s decisive economic reforms, which, though initially challenging, are aimed at long-term national benefit.

The meeting concluded with prayers led by the midwives for Governor Aiyedatiwa, Hon. Bosun Ogunleye, and the nation, reinforcing the collaborative spirit and shared hope for a progressive Ondo State.

The  state president of the association:Prophetess Deborah Adejuwon and Secretary, Mrs Florence Fatuase and a host of others were present at the meeting.
