November 16 Governorship Election: PDP Set to Take Control of Ondo State – Hon. Faro, Oguntodu, Moses, Adex
Key leaders of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Akure South Local Government Area, Ondo State, have expressed strong optimism that the party will emerge victorious in the upcoming November 16 governorship election.
During an awareness rally held in Akure on Monday, October 14, 2024, these leaders confidently stated that the PDP is poised to take control of the state from the incumbent administration.
Speaking at the rally, Hon. Babatunde Faro emphasized his belief in the PDP’s ability to restore the lost fortunes of Ondo State and criticized the current administration under the All Progressives Congress (APC), stating that the people of the state have endured untold hardship and are yearning for a change in leadership.
Faro pointed out that the PDP offers the much-needed solution to revitalize the state’s economy and governance.
Similarly, Hon. Olajide Oguntodu, representing Akure Constituency I in the Ondo State House of Assembly, asserted that despite any challenges, the PDP is on track to win the election, as demonstrated by the overwhelming support shown by the people during the rally.
He urged the people of Ondo State to come out en masse on election day and vote for the PDP, which he believes will bring an end to the hunger and hardship afflicting the state.
Adding his voice to the call for unity, Hon. Moses Olusola, popularly known as Oba Bombay, praised the leadership of the PDP’s gubernatorial candidate, Hon. Agboola Ajayi, and his running mate, Hon. Festus Akingbaso.
He expressed confidence that their leadership will elevate Ondo State to new heights of progress and development and called on party members and leaders to unite for a resounding victory in the upcoming election.
Hon. Adex, another key figure at the rally, expressed gratitude to the people of Ondo State for their massive turnout and warm reception for the PDP Governorship candidate. He emphasized that voting for the PDP is a vote for freedom and urged the people to vote overwhelmingly for the party on November 16.
The rally, which began at Adegbemile, proceeded through Ondo Road and St. Louis, before concluding at the PDP Secretariat in Alagbaka, Akure.
The event saw the attendance of prominent PDP leaders, including Ambassador Omolade Oluwateru, Engr. Clement Faboyede, Dr. Kola Ademujimi, Mr. Ayo Fadaka, and many others.
The leaders expressed confidence that with the collective support of the people, the PDP is on the verge of taking over Ondo State and delivering a better future for all its citizens.
