Surv. Kayode Oludare Bags Iconic Ambassador Award
Surveyor Kayode Oludare, the multiple award-winning CEO of Ace Continental Survey Services Limited, has been honoured with the Iconic Ambassador Award in recognition of his exemplary leadership and unwavering support for the journalism profession in Ondo State.
The prestigious award was presented on Sunday, October 13, 2024, during the official launch of Ambassador Magazine in Akure, Ondo State. Surv. Kayode Oludare, known for his professional excellence, has been a steadfast supporter of community journalism, demonstrating a deep commitment to the growth and development of the profession for over a decade.
His collaborative and supportive relationship with journalists in the state has earned him high praise. As a lover of grassroots journalism, he has contributed significantly to the empowerment and recognition of journalists, ensuring they have a strong platform to continue their vital role in society.
In addition to Surv. Oludare, several other distinguished individuals were also recognized at the event. Dr. Muyiwa Adu and Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan were honoured with Iconic Ambassador Awards, while Marvelous Akinloye received the Iconic Youth Ambassador Award. These awards celebrate their contributions to their respective fields and their commitment to positively impacting the community.
The ceremony was a remarkable celebration of excellence and dedication, highlighting individuals who have made significant contributions to journalism and other sectors in Ondo State.

Surveyor Kayode Oludare, a native of Owo in Owo Local Government Area of Ondo State, has carved out an impressive path in the field of land surveying. A brilliant scholar, he graduated as the overall best student in the Land Surveying Department of Ondo State Polytechnic, Owo (now Rufus Giwa Polytechnic) during the 1997/1998 academic session.
During his time at the Polytechnic, Surv. Oludare demonstrated leadership qualities early on. He served as the Chairman of the Campus Pathfinder Press Organization and was the General Secretary of the Environmental Students Association. He was also a member of the ad-hoc welfare committee of the Students’ Union Government, further showcasing his dedication to student welfare and activism.
Surv. Oludare later advanced his education at the Federal Polytechnic, Ado-Ekiti, where he graduated with an Upper Credit in Surveying and Geo-Informatics in the 2001/2002 academic session. While at Ado-Ekiti, he co-founded and served as the pioneer Editor-In-Chief of Seeds of Africa Organization, a socio-cultural group. His passion for unionism also saw him becoming the President of the Nigerian Institution of Surveying and Geo-Informatics Students (NISAGS).
Following his academic achievements, Surv. Oludare completed his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) with Reynolds Construction Company (RCC) in Ibadan in 2003. He continued his career advancement at the Federal School of Surveying, Oyo, where he earned a Professional Diploma in Surveying and Geo-Informatics in 2006. This milestone solidified his place in the profession, and he became one of the youngest registered surveyors in his 30s, a remarkable feat at the time.
With extensive experience in various aspects of surveying both within and outside Nigeria, Surv. Oludare eventually resigned from his position as Chief Surveyor at Primesoil Limited, Abuja, to establish his own business ventures. Fondly known as “Surveyor Kay” by his admirers, he is a resourceful entrepreneur, a philanthropist, and a crusader for equity. His contributions to human capacity building and societal development are deeply rooted in professionalism.

In recognition of his exemplary leadership, Surv. Oludare was inducted into the 2022 class of Ondo State’s Hall of Fame on July 3, 2022. He also received a national honour from the Nigerian Institute of Building (NIOB) on August 16, 2022, and was celebrated as a Pillar of Community Development in Nigeria by DEMOCRAT NEWS Magazine in October 2022.
