Engr. Olakunle Onajin Urges Governor Aiyedatiwa to Extend Bus Stop Renovations to Oba-Ile

Engr. Olakunle Onajin, a respected son of Ondo State and a resident of Oba-Ile, known for his commitment to community hygiene and the welfare of the people, has called on Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa to extend the ongoing bus stop renovation project to the Oba-Ile community.

For the past eight years, Engr. Onajin, a seasoned Structural Engineer, has been personally maintaining the bus stops in Oba-Ile. His selfless efforts also extend to supporting the Motherless Babies Home and the Public Special School in the area.

In a recent conversation with Democrat News Magazine, Engr. Onajin noted that his attention was drawn to the impressive facelift given to the bus stops in Akure. He appealed to the government to prioritize the renovation of bus stops in Oba-Ile, stressing that it is an urgent need for the community.

He revealed that he plans to write to Governor Aiyedatiwa personally to emphasize the importance of addressing this issue. Engr. Onajin has taken it upon himself to improve the conditions of public spaces in Oba-Ile, not only to enhance the environment but also to inspire the less privileged in the community.

Engr. Onajin’s humanitarian efforts go beyond bus stop maintenance. He stepped in to clean the local Special School when he noticed how unkempt the school grounds were, deciding that action was necessary. He has since been regularly maintaining the Motherless Babies Home and the Special School, painting the fences, clearing the grounds, and ensuring a clean and safe environment for the children. His aim is to boost their morale and help them realize their potential.

His contributions are not limited to the school and bus stops. Engr. Onajin has also made significant improvements to healthcare in Oba-Ile. He personally renovated the Oba-Ile Hospital, donated a generator, face masks, disposable gloves, and other essential supplies to both the staff and patients. His efforts have had a profound impact on the hospital’s operations.

Engr. Onajin’s community involvement includes regular maintenance work at St. John Primary School, Oba-Ile. He has also assisted local businesses, such as repairing the factory generator of an elderly man who runs a welding shop.

In the vein, he has provided working tools to individuals in need and offers monthly financial support to two media organizations in Ondo State. His generosity extends to providing aid for elderly men and women in the community.

It is estimated that Engr. Onajin has spent over N15 million on various humanitarian projects in recent years.

In recognition of his tireless efforts, Engr. Olakunle Onajin was recently honoured by the entire management and staff of the Ondo State Special School along Oba-Ile Road, Akure, for his dedication to the Motherless Babies Home and the Special School. He has also been recognized by Democrat News Magazine, Impact Magazine, and several other organizations for his remarkable contributions to the community.
