IGISOGBA COMMUNITY RALLIES SUPPORT FOR GOVERNOR AIYEDATIWA AS AWARENESS CAMPAIGN REACHES LANDLORDS ASSOCIATION
In a show of solidarity and political engagement, the residents of Igisogba Community have expressed their readiness to support the election bid of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa for his good intentions and love for the people of Ondo State.
This commitment was made known during a strategic meeting held with members of Landlords and Landadies Association of the community on Saturday, October 5th, 2024, at the Palace of HRH Oba Ejide Oluwalade, the Kabiyesi of Ijoka.
Convened at the behest of the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Hon. Temitayo Oluseye Oluwatuyi, (TUKANA) the gathering provided a platform for community leaders to voice their gratitude and further requests for developmental assistance.
The Kabiyesi, speaking on behalf of the community, extended heartfelt thanks to the Ondo State Government for the ongoing dualization of Ijoka Road, a vital project transforming the community. He also acknowledged the government for recognizing his contributions by elevating him to the status of Oba.
However, he noted that the community is still in need of more infrastructure to bolster development, signaling a continued partnership with the government.
Speaking for the Igisogba Landlords Association, General Chairman Mr. Ebenezer Ojo passionately appealed to the government for the construction of the road linking Oke-Obere to Igisogba.
He highlighted the community’s prolonged challenge with a new transformer that has been installed for two years but remains unlit due to a lack of connection.
He called on the government to provide solar-powered street lights to enhance security and to reconstruct the damaged bridge at Apatioro within the Igisogba area, which has been a significant concern for residents.
In his response, Hon. Bosun Ogunleye, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Mobilization, who led the government delegation, expressed his appreciation for the community’s peaceful coexistence and unwavering support. He therefore assured them that the government would give serious consideration to their requests.
Hon. Ogunleye also urged the community to continue backing the APC and to cast their votes for Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa and his running mate, Dr. Adelami, in the forthcoming gubernatorial election scheduled for November 16, 2024.
He further emphasized the government’s numerous achievements across various ministries and agencies, assuring the community that these efforts will continue to benefit Igisogba and beyond.
The community, in a united voice, pledged their full support to the APC, promising to vote en-masse for the party in the upcoming election.
Also in attendance were the General Secretary of the community, Mr. Adebayo Titilayo Anthony, along with all the Zonal Chairmen and their Secretaries. Joining the delegation from the state government were Special Assistants to the Governor, including Hon. Owolanke Lawrence, Hon. Sehinde Olagunju, and Hon. Ayo Falade, among other dignitaries.
