Hon. Bosun Ogunleye Engages GOLDEN WOMEN SOLIDARITY MOVEMENT, Seeks Support for Aiyedatiwa Ahead of November Governorship Election
Hon. Bosun Ogunleye, Special Assistant on Mobilization to Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has met with the leadership of the Golden Women Solidarity Movement in Akure to seek their support for the Governor’s election in the upcoming November 16 governorship election.
During the meeting held in Akure recently, Hon. Ogunleye highlighted the significant achievements of Governor Aiyedatiwa’s administration. He emphasized the ongoing road construction projects across the state, which are improving infrastructure and easing transportation.
He also pointed out the recent employment of teachers in both primary and secondary schools, along with recruitment efforts in the health sector to improve service delivery for the good of all Ondo State sons and daughters.
He further mentioned key government initiatives, such as the payment of WAEC fees for students in public secondary schools, and the resumption of bursary payments for students in higher institutions. Hon. Ogunleye also underscored the administration’s commitment to enhancing security in the state and the reintroduction of the school shuttle buses, which provide students with safe and affordable transportation.
In her response, Chief (Mrs.) Ishola Kikelomo, the State President of the Golden Women Solidarity Movement, expressed the group’s appreciation for the Governor’s impactful policies, noting that their movement spans across the entire state. She assured Hon. Ogunleye that the group would fully support and mobilize for Governor Aiyedatiwa’s re-election, pledging their efforts towards ensuring victory in the forthcoming election.
Other notable attendees at the meeting included Mrs. Jegede Dupe, the State Vice President of the movement, Mrs. Ekundayo Odunayo, the Secretary, as well as several local government coordinators, all of whom reaffirmed their commitment to the cause.
The meeting served as a strategic move in rallying grassroots support for Governor Aiyedatiwa’s bid, with Hon. Ogunleye leveraging the influence and reach of the Golden Women Solidarity Movement.
