The Director General of National Orientation Agency (NOA) Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu has approved the appointment of Mr James Ajayi Adekunle to oversee the affairs of Ondo State Directorate of National Orientation Agency as the State Director with effect from 1st September, 2024.
Mr. James Ajayi Adekunle began his Educational pursuit at Holy Rosary Catholic Primary School, Arigidi Akoko. From there, he attended Adolo College, Benin City, where he had his Secondary School Certificate. He proceeded to University of Jos and bagged a B.Sc in Geography. After his National Youth Service at Federal Government College, Ilorin, he undertook a Post Graduate study at Nigerian Institute of Journalism, Ogba, Ikeja. Mr. Adekunle capped it with a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) and he currently pursuing a Masters Degree in Transformational Leadership at the Redeemed Institute of Leadership Academy (RILA).
Mr. Adekunle started his career at National Orientation Agency in the year 1999 as Principal Orientation Officer (POO) and served as a field officer across the three Senatorial Districts of the state. He was redeployed to the state headquarters in 2004. Since then, he has served in virtually all the departments in the Directorate before his appointment as the State Director of Ondo State Directorate of National Orientation Agency.
He has served in various capacities since he joined the Agency which has equipped and empowered him for the present Position.
A statement from the Agency Public and Media Relation Officer, Ralph Oguntibeju assured Ondo residents that the New NOA Boss will deploy his wealth of experience to work with the Ondo state Government, institutions, community based organisations and the citizens in actualization of a democratic, progressive and disciplined society.
Mr Adekunle is happily married with children.
