APBEC Ondo State Inaugurates New Executive Members Led by Comrade Gboyega Awogbami, Promises Enhanced Development
The Association of Professional Bakers, Event Planners, and Caterers (APBEC) in Ondo State has inaugurated its new executive members, with Comrade Gboyega Awogbami assuming leadership as President.
The inauguration, which took place on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at Ade-Super Hotel, Ilesha Road, Akure, saw dignitaries from various walks of life attending to honour the new executives.
In his inaugural speech, Comrade Gboyega Awogbami expressed deep appreciation to the dignitaries and APBEC members for their support and trust in his leadership.
He vowed to lead with dedication and ensure that the association thrives under his watch.
His vision, he noted, is to elevate APBEC to a position of prominence among associations in Ondo State through a comprehensive and forward-looking agenda.
“I will bring my wealth of experience and knowledge to steer this association towards greater unity and progress for all members,” Comrade Awogbami said.
He also urged the Ondo State Government, under the leadership of Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, to support APBEC, affirming the association’s readiness to reciprocate by contributing to the state’s economic growth.
He called on members to remain united and committed to the goals of the association’s founding fathers, stressing the importance of solidarity in achieving success.
Deaconess Favour Fejiro Akindele, the newly appointed Vice President of APBEC, also spoke at the event, pledging her full cooperation with the President and other executive members.
She emphasized the importance of unity among members and encouraged them to foster love and understanding, warning against any actions that might cause division within the association.
Mrs. Kemi Akinduyite, the life Matron of APBEC and former President of the association, took a moment to acknowledge the resilience of the members who stood firm during challenging times.
She thanked God for sustaining the association and encouraged the new leaders to work hard to build a stronger future for APBEC.
Mr. Ola Blessing, Chairman of the occasion, also lent his support to the new leadership, generously donating to the association’s cause. He urged APBEC members to remain united and to continuously improve their services in order to maintain their relevance in society.
He praised Comrade Awogbami for his proactive approach to business and diverse offerings.
The President of OSATU in Ondo State, Comrade Samuel Akarakiri Congratulated the leadership of the association and encouraged them to be focused noting that many things will come their ways they should handle with maturity.
Comrade Tope Akinsuroju, the Organising Secretary, described the event as a historic milestone in the association’s journey. He predicted that the significance of the inauguration would remain etched in the memories of the members for years to come.
Following the speeches, the newly sworn-in executives took their oaths of office, after which prayers were offered for their success. The ceremony concluded with the cutting of a celebratory cake, and members took to the dance floor to mark the joyous occasion.
