Surveyor Kayode Oludare (MNIS), Receives Focus Magazine Outstanding Role Model Award in Human Development
On August 17, 2024, the prestigious Focus Magazine Outstanding Role Model Award in Human Development was conferred upon Surveyor Kayode Oludare (MNIS), CEO of ACE Continental Survey Services Limited. The award ceremony, held at the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) headquarters in Alagbaka, Akure, attracted dignitaries from various sectors who came to Honour the achievements of the awardees.
During his address, Mr. Ayodele Ologunola, Publisher of Focus Magazine, expressed his appreciation for all the awardees and emphasized the exceptional contributions of Surveyor Kayode Oludare, describing him as a standout among the honorees.
In his acceptance speech, Surveyor Oludare expressed his gratitude to the media in Ondo State and pledged to continue his commitment to excellence and societal development.
Surveyor Kayode Oludare hails from Owo in Owo Local Government Area of Ondo State. He was the overall best-graduating student in the Land Surveying Department at Ondo State Polytechnic, Owo (now Rufus Giwa Polytechnic), during the 1997/1998 academic year. His leadership skills were evident during his time at the Polytechnic, where he served as the Chairman of the Campus Pathfinder Press Organization and the General Secretary of the Environmental Students Association, among other roles.
Continuing his academic journey, Surveyor Oludare earned an upper credit in Surveying and Geo-informatics from the Federal Polytechnic, Ado-Ekiti, in the 2001/2002 academic session. He co-founded and served as the pioneer Editor-In-Chief of the Seeds of Africa Organization, a socio-cultural group, and was the President of the Nigerian Institution of Surveying and Geo-informatics Students (NISAGS) during his time there.
Following his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) with Reynolds Construction Company (RCC) in Ibadan in 2003, Surveyor Oludare pursued further education at the Federal School of Surveying, Oyo, where he obtained a Professional Diploma in Surveying and Geo-informatics in 2006. By his 30s, he had become one of the few young registered surveyors in Nigeria, gaining extensive experience in various facets of the survey profession both within and outside the country before establishing his own businesses.
Fondly known as “Surveyor Kay” by his admirers, Surveyor Oludare is recognized as a resourceful entrepreneur, a silent philanthropist, and a crusader for equity. His contributions to society and his dedication to his profession have earned him numerous accolades, including:
