Hon. Eric Ajila Pays Glowing Tribute to Oba Frederick Aroloye, Celebrating His Legacy of Humanity
Hon. Eric Ajila, a distinguished son of Idanre kingdom and former Supervisor of Works in Idanre Local Government Area, has paid tribute to the late Owa of Idanre, Oba (Dr.) Frederick Adekunle Aroloye, Afubiefin IV. Ajila described the monarch as having left an indelible impact on the history of Idanre, Ondo State, and Nigeria as a whole.
In a press statement released to Democrat News Magazine on Saturday, August 3, 2024, Ajila expressed that Nigerians mourn the loss while celebrating the life of a remarkable leader. The King of Idanre Kingdom passed away on July 30, 2024, at the ripe age of 98. His 48-year reign was characterized by wisdom, strength, and an unwavering commitment to his people’s well-being.
Hon. Ajila highlighted that under Oba Frederick Aroloye’s leadership, Idanre flourished, experiencing unprecedented growth and development. The late monarch was a beacon of stability and a custodian of tradition, ensuring the rich cultural heritage of Idanre was preserved and celebrated. “His dedication to progress and his deep connection with his subjects earned him not only their respect but also their love,” Ajila noted.
“The King was not just a ruler but a father figure to many, embodying the values of compassion, fairness, and integrity. His vision extended beyond the immediate needs of his kingdom, advocating for education, health, and economic empowerment. He was a symbol of unity, always striving to bridge divides and foster harmony among his people,” Ajila added.
Reflecting on Oba Aroloye’s life and legacy, Ajila remarked, “We remember a king who not only led but inspired. His contributions to the kingdom and the lasting impact of his reign will be remembered for generations to come. Though he is no longer with us, his spirit and the principles he championed will continue to guide Idanre.”
