Hon. Wale Amusan and Siblings Extol Father’s Virtues at Final Fidau

“Our Father Was a Man With Undying and Accommodative Love” – Family Members

The former Local Government Chairman of Modakeke Akoraye in Osun State, Hon. Wale Sakariyau, along with his siblings, paid glowing tributes to their late father, former Chief Imam of Ogudu, Chief Jimoh Iyanda, during the final Fidau Prayer.

They described their father as a man of many parts with positive landmark achievements that impacted the people and society.

Speaking with the Democrat News Magazine at the AUD Primary School Field, Ode-Omu, Osun State, the venue of the final Fidau Prayer on July 6, 2024, Hon. Wale Amusan described Baba Iyanda as a peace-loving personality who served as a rallying point for all family members.

In his words: “You can see what is happening here today; the children of Uncle and the entire family have come together to celebrate Baba’s life well spent because he was a father to the larger family.

“We really appreciate these virtues in Baba and we are already emulating them. Baba had an accommodating and undying love for family members and good things, regardless of the challenges.”

Hon. Wale Amusan further emphasized that the family members have been following Baba’s steps in promoting unity and love for one another, stating that they will not deviate from this good path.

Hon. Wale Amusan, who was recognized as one of the best Local Government Chairmen in Osun State during his tenure, called on the Muslim community in the state to strive to follow the tenets of the Islamic religion, in line with the life and teachings of his father when he was the Chief Imam of Ogudu. He noted the need for humility and accommodation, stressing that these qualities greatly enhance an impactful religious life.

In his comments, Mr. Isola Jimoh Iyanda mentioned that Baba was a caring father and a lover of his children and extended family members.

He urged all his siblings to emulate his virtues by showing love to one another. Mr. Isola prayed for Almighty Allah to grant Baba eternal repose as he was honored amidst glowing tributes.

Mr. Lasisi Jimoh Amusan also described Baba Iyanda as a man of impeccable qualities and a religious leader who taught them the ways of Allah through words and actions. He encouraged all family members to continue to embody all that Baba stood for during his lifetime.

After the Fidau Prayer, guests from all walks of life were entertained with assorted food and drinks, and a live band was on standby, thrilling the audience with beautiful tunes.
