It was a gathering of notable men and women within and outside Ondo State as Pastor Joseph Olufade celebrated his 70th birthday in grand style.

The event was held at NLC Event Centre, opposite Army Barracks, Ondo Road, Akure, Ondo State, on Saturday, the 29th of June, 2024.

While giving her testimony about the celebrant, Mrs. Olorunda Adesola Josephine congratulated Pastor Olufade for the success of the birthday anniversary and prayed for special grace for him to enjoy the fruits of his labor.

Mrs. Olorunda said that men and women have a lot of lessons to learn from the quality of her brother, whom she described as a lover of many and a selfless personality who, through his kind heart, touched many lives around him.

“He is a man of integrity, kind-hearted, a lover of God and men, a cheerful giver, and a committed prayer man,” Mrs. Olorunda concluded.

On his part, Mr. Edward Oladoyinbo described him as honest and dedicated to the service of humanity, saying he has been a man of peace and dedicated love for his kinsmen.

Olatunji Abidakun, a co-landlord at Oke-Ogba, Oluwafemi Adekeye from Mobile Church, Mr. Taye Olubowale, and Mrs. Temitope Oladipupo said, “He loves God and fellow human beings,” and prayed that God would grant him long life and prosperity.

“Pastor Olufade is a very humble man who takes everything with ease,” they added.

Mummy Ayo Ade, another family member, said, “We came to Akure in 1990 when my husband got a federal job, and Pastor Olufade accommodated us in his room-and-parlor apartment. He has never left us since then, even when my husband died.”

Mr. Ayokunle Olufade, who spoke on behalf of the children, said his father gave them a platform to thrive individually, adding that although he is not the shouting type, he made discipline a priority.

“His approach is like ‘stick and carrot’ in raising us, and he helped me and my siblings fulfill our destinies.

“We are happy to celebrate our father while he is still alive for his sacrifice and commitment toward our upbringing,” he added.

The man of God who gave a short message on the perception of life said some people see it as a battlefield, some believe it is a competition, while others see life as a bed of roses—enjoyment.

“Life is a joy in my own perspective. According to Psalm 90:12, we should do all to please God and serve Him with all our lives.”

While speaking with the Democrat News Magazine, the celebrant, Pastor Joseph Olufade, returned all glory to God for the success of the celebration and all he has achieved in life, saying that God Almighty made a huge difference in his life and family since inception.

Olufade said one thing that is very important for anyone to succeed is to put God first in all their engagements. He therefore called on the numerous participants in the celebration to strive hard to do the will of God to be able to enjoy God’s grace in manifold forms.

His wife, Mrs. Onifade, described her husband as a good husband and father to her and their children. She prayed profusely for him to enjoy more years together with her.

After the cutting of the birthday cake, the dance floor was opened for the celebrant, his family members, and friends to dance with him.

Guests were entertained with assorted food and drinks.
