Association Of Olus/Baales In Akure North Gets New Leaders As Ogunjebi Promises Welfare Of Members
Association of Olus and Baales in Akure North Local Government Area of Ondo State has elected the new set of leaders that will stir the association for the next four years under the Chairmanship of His Highness David Abiodun Ogunjebi, the Olu of Ayejori Oke-Oge.
The event was held on 4th of June, 2024 at Iju-Itaogbolu Local Government Secretariat where notable Obas, Olus and Baales came to grace the occasion.
While delivering her welcome address, the Acting Chairman of the Local Government and Head of Local Government Administration (HOLGA), Akure North, Mrs. Morenike Adejoro thanked God for the success of the event despite the industrial actions going on in the country.
She commended the leadership of the association for their maturity and sense of quality leadership that engendered peace in their various Communities and called for more unity and peace among the members of the association.
Also in his remarks, the Chairman of the Day and Chairman of Akure North Council of Obas, Ogbolu of Itaogbolu, Oba Idowu Faboro used the medium to charge all members of the association to maintain level of maturity they have been displaying before, during and after their election.
In his comment, the outgone Chairman of the association, Oba JK Ajomole, Ojogbariaka commended late Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu for the implementation of Ajama report that brought about the upgrading of many Obas in Ondo State.
After all said and done, the Acting Chairman of Akure North Local Government and HOLGA, Mrs. Adejoro administered oath of office on the new set of leaders one after the other beginning from the Chairman, HH David Abiodun Ogunjebi of Oke-Oge Community, Vice Chairman, Olu Gabriel Adeduro of Asaboro Community, Secretary, Adedayo Oloye and Treasurer, Olu Babatunde Famotua of Isagba Community
While delivering his acceptance speech, the newly installed Chairman of the association, HH Ogunjebi pointed out that he will join hands with his executive members and entire Olus and Baales to move the association forward.
He called for the cooperation of all his members to enable him and the EXCO to perform and to deliver on the mandate of the association.
Some digintaries the Olus that spoke with the DEMOCRAT NEWS Magazine, Kabiyesi Olu Ugele, Dada Ayo Osanlade, Oba (Dr.) Sunday Adebayo, Asakin of Abo-Asakin, Regent Oke-Agunla, Olufunmilayo Elizabeth, Oluwole of Ipole, Ita-Ogbolu, Akure North, Oba Adetunji Olukayode, Olu of Oke-Igede and Professor Arifalo of Kasemola Community among of others advised the new leaders of the association to put their best into good use for the benefit of all and sundry.
The crowned Obas in Akure North that present at the event included Oba (Dr.) Sunday Adebayo of Abo Asakin, Oba Samuel Adegbehingbe Aliu of Imafon kingdom, Oba Agunbiade of Eleyowo Community, Oba Oriade Aladetoyinbo of Alayere also present at the event, the Akapinsa of Ipinsa land, Oba Olufunmilayo Omoniyi.
After the Programme entertainment took place at the palace of Ogbolu of Itaogbolu Oba Idowu Faboro.
