Akure South NAPPS Celebrates 2024 Children’s Day In Special Way As Parents Charged To Instill National Values into Nigerian Children
The National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools (NAPPS), in Akure South Local Government Area of Ondo State under the Chairmanship of Revd Aderemi Israel Martins has celebrated 2024 Children’s Day in special way as calls has gone to parents on the need to inculcate national values into Nigerian Children
The event that was described as phenomenal by special guests that graced the occasion held at Ondo State Sports Complex on 27th of May, 2024.
Some of the digintaries at the event included Chief Imam of Akure Kingdom, She’s, Sayi Akorede, Mrs. Lola Amuda, Hon. Kolawole Ologede, Hon. Stephen Abitogun, Pastor Yinka Ogunode and a host of others.
Delivering his welcome address the Chairman of Akure South Branch of National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools (NAPPS), Revd Aderemi Israel Martins celebrated with Children in Ondo State and Nigeria and commended the teachers for their yeoman’s job to put them on right path.
In his words: “I want to take this moment to acknowledge and appreciate all the teachers who are present here. You are the instruments through which the Lord moulds the destinies of these future leaders. Your tireless dedication and hard work are commendable, and I pray that the Lord blesses each and every one of you.
“Children are the hope and pride of tomorrow. It is crucial that we make investments in their lives today, so that we can have a brighter future. As such, I urge all our esteemed teachers to quickly adapt to the 21st century teaching methods, so that we can positively impact the lives of this computer-savvy generation.”
“However, while embracing technology, we must ensure that it does not destroy the values and legacies that our forefathers have laid before us. I also urge our esteemed parents to entrust and allow the teachers to mold the destinies of these future leaders.
In his remarks, Barr. Stephen Abitogun thanked all the stakeholders for their consistent in building great futures in the children
He also brought good will message of Alhaja Sabira, National President of NAPPS on the occasion.
Chief Imam of Akure Kingdom called for serious prayer for the country to save us from imminent collapse stressing that employment is needed and not appointment that will only last for four years.
Also speaking, Hon. Kolawole Ologede, member o House of Assembly representing Akure North and Chairman of House Committee on Education said Ondo State Government is doing well in making life better for Children in the state.
The Chairperson of the Day, Mrs. Ola Amuda charged private schools to tap into Technology and windows of opportunities available for the children.
