Global Surveyors’ Day: Kayode Oludare Highlights Importance Of Surveyors To Human Development
In celebrating Global Surveyors’ Day, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Offier of Ace Continental Survey Services Limited, Surv. Kayode Oludare, (MNIS) has enumerated importance of surveying and its concomitant impacts on human development in all ramifications.
Kayode Oludare, one of the most successful practicing surveyors in Nigeria based in Ondo State while having a chat with the Democrat News Magazine at the ‘Surveyors’ House’ along Olusegun Agagu Road, Akure, on March 21, 2024 said that the global celebration further underscores peculiar roles of surveyors in the world.
Surveyor Kay said that: “Throughout history, surveyors have remained the pioneers of discovery shaping our world to its current existence by exploring the unknown on earth and in space.
“Every year we celebrate the Global Surveyors’ Day on 21 March. The purpose of this day is to give worldwide recognition to the pioneers, individuals and industry that have shaped the history of Earth measurement and continue to be the foundation of the surveying community.
“The world is coming to the point of recognizing that everyone needs surveyors as you need Doctors or lawyers.”
He used the medium to pay a glowing tribute to late Pastor Surveyor Akarakiri, one of the elders of the profession that passed away.
He said Baba Akarakiri did all his power during his life time to help many people and that his good efforts will continue to linger in the memory of all their members.
Also spoke with journalists at the event, Mrs. Iyabo Basaru, Surveyor (Mrs.) Akande extolled the virtues of Baba Akarakiri.
