Otunba Bamidele Akingboye Receives Support Of PDP Stakeholders Ahead Of Primaries
..OBA picks Expression of Interest Form
Otunba Bamidele Akingboye (OBA), a leading contender for the Ondo State Governorship election in 2024 under the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), has officially picked up his nomination Forms from the party’s national secretariat in Abuja yesterday and returned home to pick expression interest form at the Party Secretariat in Akure.
Akingboye who is widely regarded as a formidable aspirant in the race to clinch the PDP’s ticket for the upcoming gubernatorial polls came into the PDP party Secretariat amidst loud ovations from his numerous supporters.
At the Secretariat on Tuesday 19th of March, 2024, Acting Chairman of the party, Mr. Tola Alabere welcomed him and all those that came to grace the event wish him well ahead of Primaries and general elections.
In his words: “It is my pleasure to be here today to present Otunba Bamidele Akingboye to you as the second person to come here to obtain form of expression y interest to contest, this shows he is a man of courage with all that is happening in the country today.
“We can assure you all of level plain ground; for all aspirants and we have set up Committee in that respect and anyone that emerged will be supported by all and sundry and our party will come first at the general election by the grace of God.”
Alabere said that the difference was cleared when PDP was ruling in Ondo State.
Also speaking, One of the Chieftains of PDP Jefson Abiodoye described Akingboye as the most consistent of all the aspirants who contributed his hard earned money to build the party consistently.
He described him as God sent to transform Ondo State, saying that people of the state have been begging him for many years before he finally bowed to the pressure to come out contest for the governorship seat.
While speaking at the party Secretariat, Otunba Bamidele Akingboye (OBA) said that for the past 21 years he had been called to serve his people and that this is the fourth times of his consistent trial without considering option of deflecting to another Party.
“I am ready for this election. I have what it takes to wipe away tears from the faces of all the people of the state.
Akingboye said that of all the aspirants non has the kind of qualities he possessed, therefore reaffirm his stance not to quit the race.
