Akure Agog as Mrs. Durodola Olubunmi & Emeritus Prof. Samuel Oluwole Falaki Celebrate 80th Birthday, 85th Birthday In Grandstyle

It was a gathering creme- de-la-creme on Friday 29th of December 2023 as Mrs. Durodola Olubunmi and Emeritus Prof Samuel Oluwole Falaki celebrated their 80th birthday and 85th birthday together in grandstyle.
People described Mama and Baba Falaki as a woman and a man of many impacts whose contributions to humanity can not be overemphasized in their various field of endeavours.
At Amazing Place Event Centre, along Oda road Akure, a well decorated venue to march the standard of the celebrants and their guests that came from all walks of life who came to celebrate family they described as inspiration to youths and blessings to humanity.
Some of the personalities at the event include retired and serving top echelon of Public administration, University Dons, Media Executives, Community leaders and a host of others.
The celebration of Mama and Bapa Falaki at 80th and 85th was described as watershed occasion seeing the array of personalities and qualities of life they been living from their younger days and particularly their impacts on humanity.
While having a chat with the Democrat News Magazine, one of the daughters of the family, Mrs. Lola Owanikin described her parents as loving and intelligent persons who took good care of all their children from childhood.
“Not only this, we grew up to see how our Mummy and Daddy took good care of their own parents. It is my prayer that God will continue to bless them and keep them for us to enable them enjoy their labour of love over us. Our parents have many impacts on so many people within and outside the family.
Mrs. Owanikin used the medium to appreciate all those who came to celebrate with them and wished the safe trips back to their destinations.
Also in their comments, Mr. And Mrs. Ola and Abidemi Ayoola said: “We are happy to have them as our parents, they have remained sources of inspiration to us. We pray for the joy and peace of God for them as they are aging.”
Oluwaseun and Omowumi Falaki also added that: “We are here today to thank God for our Mummy and Daddy for the success of their birthday. Indeed we are happy for them and we pray that God will grant them long lives.
“Our parents took good care of all of us and even people around them, this is more reason all the children rally round them on occasion like this.
In the same way, Olumide and Sola Falaki expressed their hearts about them saying they are parents of impeccable character who have been very helpful to destinies both their biological children and others prayed for grace to witness many blissful years ahead.
While speaking with journalists, the celebrant, Mrs. Durodola Olubunmi Falaki with heart full of joy, she appreciated God for the realization of the celebration and for giving them good health to celebrate.
In her words: “I give glory to God for helping me and my lovely husband through the thick and thin of life to this point where we come to the point of celebrating my 80th birthday and my husband is celebrating 85th birthday to day all to the glory of God.
“God helped us to see the good days of our lives and we appreciate also all our children and members of our extended family, as well as our friends for their contributions in cash and kind for the success of this celebrations.
She also made known her commitment of serve God better in the years ahead adding that all the achievements of the family were made possible by God.
Also in comment, Emeritus Prof Samuel Oluwole Falaki who also clocked 85 years used the medium to thank God a great deal for all He made him went through in life without being crushed.
“I have every cause to thank God today, I can say that God has been very good to us in all ramifications; On this note, I will thank God on behalf of the entire family, we must confess that God has been so good to us.
Emeritus Prof Samuel Oluwole Falaki said that unconditional love and transparency has been his principle of life calling the younger generation to imbibe the virtue love and hardwork.
Live band of Muyiwa Famuyide was on a standby to add glamour to the celebration as guests were treated to sumptuous reception with assorted food and drinks.
