Nigeria Man ‘O’ War Decorates Mrs. Mercy Adetimehin, Principal CAC Grammar School As War Marshal

The noble contributions, dedication and unabated passion for service of Mrs. Mercy Oluwapelumi Adetimehin,  Principal of CAC Grammar School, Akure has been recognized by National Body of Man ‘O’ War in Nigeria as she was honoured and decorated as War Marshal.

The leadership of Man ‘O’ in Nigeria was enthused with doggedness and commitment of Mrs. Adetimehin as a female Principal and leader with many unprecedented records of achievements in all ramifications.

At the ceremony organized in her honour on 14th of December, 2023 within the school premises along ondo road Akure the state capital where dignitaries were in attendance  multiple award winning Mrs. Mercy Adetimehin was decorated with special rank,  ‘The War Marshal”.

 

According the the Commandant of Man ‘O’ War in Ondo State who nominated her for the National Body of Man ‘O’ War, Comrade Adedayo said that Mrs. Adetimehin’s involvements in youths development within and outside the school system has been phenomenal.

He said that the rank of ‘War Marshall’ is ordinarily reserved for special people like Governor of a state and some few individuals that has exceptional qualities in their areas of leadership like Mrs. Mercy Oluwapelumi Adetimehin.

While speaking with the Democrat News Magazine and other journalists in his office recently, Mrs. Adetimehin said she was surprised to note that her involvements in youth development gained attention of organizations like Man ‘O’ War in Nigeria.

She therefore promised to continue to be more active in contributing to the development of humanity through the instrumentality of her chosen profession and God given talents and resources.

Mrs. Adetimehin used the occasion to call on young ladies in the society not see themselves as nonentities rather they should put in their very best in all they do.

“Whatever you are doing however small should be done well, even to a remarkable extent that will be noticed.”

In her condolence message to people of Ondo State, she paid a glowing tribute to late Governor of Ondo State, Arakurin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN, CON saying his death was a Colossal loss not only to Ondo State but Nigeria in general.

In her words: “Akeredolu was a man of courage who was given to justice, honesty and forthrightness. His impacts will linger on forever in the history of Ondo State, Nigeria and Africa at large.

“His death came to us as a big blow on December 27, 2023 and it devastated all of us in Ondo State. Akeredolu’s death has left a big vacuum in the hearts so many people that is difficult to fill.

She prayed for special grace of God for Ondo State people to bear the irreparable loss in death Arakurin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN, CON.

“It is my sincere prayer that God will grant the family, friends, political associates and Nigerians at large fortitude to bear this irreparable loss and I pray that such thing will not happen in our land again.”

Mrs. Adetimehin used the medium to warmly congratulate the newly sworn-in Governor, His Excellency, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Ayedatiwa on his new position and attainment saying that it has been by the grace of God he was able to attain the new height.

She also expressed confidence in his ability to take Ondo State to the next level of greatness in line with the vision that established the current government in the state and the aspirations of the founding fathers of the state.

Speaking on the plans of her school for the New Year, she said: “We are planning to drive our students for more excellence this year in all areas. We will have more achievements this year by the grace of God.

“Last year CAC came first in a Football competition. This year our school has been marked for basketball and other sporting activities and we are going to win more laurels both in academic and sporting activities.”
