Alluring Yoruba Movie, “Apaara” To Start Recording In Ondo State

A powerful and fascinating Yoruba Movie aiming at correcting socio-political vices, like violence, prostitution, betrayal and unhealthy rivalry among the Nigerian populace titled “Apaara” is set to commence it’s recordings in Ondo State.

At the press conference held on 4th of January, 2024 at Adegbemile Cultural Centre, Akure, the Ondo State Capital where stakeholders converged to make known to the general public the quality of the work about to commence for pleasure of the masses.

While speaking at the event, the Executive Producer of the movie, Damilare Adebayo (Adigun Esu) said that the project burned out of his passion and commitment to film making.

His words: “I stand before you today with great excitement and anticipation to share a project that has captured the hearts and imaginations of our team. I As a a a movie producer, it is both an honor and a responsibility to bring captivating stories to life on the silver screen. Today, I am thrilled to present to you our latest endeavor: an extraordinary movie project that promises to take you on a journey like never before.

“This project APAARA is more than just a film; it’s a labour of love, a culmination of years of dedication, passion, and meticulous planning. Our team, comprised of some of the most talented individuals in the industry, has poured their hearts and souls into crafting a story that will resonate with audiences across the globe. It is a story that seeks to captivate, inspire, and provoke contemplation, a reflection of political conflict between late Obafemi Awolowo and Ladoke Akintola (Pekelemesi) in the 60s.

“In an era where audiences crave innovation and originality, we have gone above and beyond to ensure that this movie project APAARA is nothing short of extraordinary. Our script, penned by an award-winning writer Sunday Alabi Osibata , is a masterpiece that seamlessly weaves together compelling characters, gripping plotlines, and thought-provoking themes. Through its pages, we illuminate the human experience, touching on the universal truths that bind us all.

“Our aim as a movie producer is not merely to entertain but to inspire. We stand committed to providing you with an unforgettable cinematic experience that will transcend boundaries, bring us closer, and shed light on the beautifully complex tapestry of the human spirit.”

He passionately pleaded with government of Ondo State under the leadership of Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, private companies, individuals for sponsorship and partnerships.

The movie will be directed by Damola Olatunji and Sunday Alabi Osibata with numbers of brilliant Assistant Directors, a skilled cinematographers: Lekan Bature, Idowu Agbaje ,Sanjo and talented visual effects artists.

Some of the season actors and actresses that will feature include: Bimbo Ademoye, Iyabo Ojo, Muyiwa Ademola, Yemi Shodimu, Yovene Jegede, Bolaji Amusan Latin, Aduni Ade, Bimbo Oshin, Antar Laniyan, Yekini Ibrahim Itele, Clarion Chukuwra Abiola, Ibrahim Chatter, Baba Aderupoko, Ayobami Olabiyi, Toyosi Adesanya, Sola Kosoko and a host of others.

Some of those who spoke at the event with the Democrat News Magazine include: Emperor Damola Olatunji, Sunday Alabi Osibata and Taiwo Gold President of FIBAN who gave endorsement to the project saying that it will employ about 600 casts.
