Akeredolu’s Departure: An Era Has Ended In Ondo State, Says Oba Samuel Adegbehingbe Aliu

The news of the sudden death Arakurin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN CON, the Governor of Ondo State has been described as end of an era in the history of Ondo State and it’s people.

Oba Samuel Adegbehingbe Aliu, Atonlusi 1, the Olumafon of Imafon kingdom made this known in a Media Release emanated from his palace to the Democrat News Magazine on Wednesday, 27th of December, 2023.

He said that sudden passage of the Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu was incalculable loss to Ondo State, Southwest and the Nigeria in general being an asset to humanity.

Oba Adegbehingbe Aliu expressed his heart felt sorrow at the news of the death of Arakunrin Akeredolu, which he said came to him with rude shock.

He pointed out that Akeredolu stood for honesty, fairness, justice and advocacy adding that he would be missed for his outstanding qualities.

“Posterity will never forget his indelible contributions towards the advancement of Traditional Institution in Ondo State. May the good Lord grant him eternal rest.”

While praying for the courage for people of the state to bear the irreparable loss, Oba Adegbehingbe Aliu also used the medium to commensurate with Olowo of Owo, Oba Gbadegesin Ogunoye and entire Olowo -in- Council, the immediate and extended family of Arakurin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu and the entire people the state.

Meanwhile, he also used the medium to congratulate His Excellency Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa who becomes the Governor of Ondo State.

Olumafon described Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa as a loyal person who has been following his boss regimentally in all the decisions that bordered on the development of the state and it’s people.

He therefore prayed that God will give him wisdom and understanding to lead Ondo State to a glorious destination in all spheres.
