Glamour As Temijana Michael Olaniyi (Mr.Scenario) Bows Out Of Civil Service
It was a gathering of high and mighty, movers and shakers of Ondo State and people of great substance from all walks of life as an illustrious son of Idogun, Mr. Temijana Michael Olaniyi popularly known as “Mr. Scenario” bowed out of Civil Service after 35 years of untainted life.
“Mr. Scenario” retired as Deputy Director Accounts, office of the Deputy Governor, Akure, Ondo State with many accolades and commendations for the job well done to the state and humanity.
At the Pens Down Ceremony held at ICAN House in Akure on 29th of November, 2023 his virtues of excellence were extolled to high heaven for other that are still in active service to learn from.
Some of those that spoke at the venue of the ceremony like the Chairman of the occasion, Rtd Permanent Secretary, Mrs. Mojisola Ajayi said Temijana has distinguished himself through a dint of hard work and consistent in upholding the tenets of accounting profession.
Mrs. Ajayi inferred that product of hard work and quality life always making a system and society better. She therefore called on all public servants to follow his virtues.
In his interview with the Democrat News Magazine, the celebrant, Mr. Temijana Michael Olaniyi popularly known as Mr. Scenario said his 35 years has been challenging and tasking but it has been by the help of God he weather the storm.
In his words: “My 35 years experience in Civil Service has been quite challenging but I thank God. I started from the scrash but today I’m retiring as Deputy Director of Accounts.
“In Civil Service you have to follow extant law so that you will not run foul of the system, I agreed Civil Service is a sleepery terrain. If you are not careful you may end up as a failure, it is in being careful that your success is.
He charged the people present at the occasion to put in their best in the service to God and humanity as they will get their reward someday.
Mr. Scenario said he has not tired and that he can put his versed experience in good use to served at any level of governance.
Mr. Olaniyi being popularly called ‘’ the Future Senator, Mr. Scenario was born to the family of late Temijana Felix Fadamila, a renowned driver, a bold man and a fearless hunter and Mrs. Agness Fadamila, a petty trader of Idogun, the land that flows with milk and honey in Ose Local Government of Ondo State many years ago.
EDUCATION:
Olaniyi started his elementary school at St Paul’s Anglican Primary School, Idogun as ‘’Jeleosinmi’’ now called Kindergarten in1972.
He was formally admitted in 1973 and proceeded to Idogun High School, Idogun in 1980 for his Secondary Education and completed it in 1985 and went back again in 1986.
In his quest for higher knowledge, Olaniyi got admission to the then Ondo State Polytechnic (now Rufus Giwa Poly) for Certificate in Management Studies in 1995 where he was awarded the best student.
In 1997 he was also admitted to Ondo State Polytechnic (OSPO now Rufus Giwa Poly) for his National Diploma in Accountancy where he was known as Commissioner for Citizenships.
He later proceeded to the University of Ado-Ekiti in 2001 where he bagged a Bachelor of Science Second Class Lower Division in Accounting in the year 2006.
Mr. Olaniyi also attended the Prestigious College of Accountancy in Jos for his professional examination and was confirmed a Certified National Accountant (CNA) in 2010.
WORKING EXPERIENCE:
The young vibrant Olaniyi was appointed as a Clerical Officer GL. 04 on 29th November, 1988 by the Civil Service Commission. He rose to the post of Principal Executive Officer I GL. 12 On 1st January, 2008 and got converted to the Accountant cadre on 12th October, 2009 and was promoted to the post of Deputy Director (Accounts) in 2022 the post he held until 29 of November, 2023 when he retired from active civil service.
He has worked in several Ministries and Departments as follows: Civil Service Commission – 1988-1999 – Registry Staff, Internal Auditor and Paymaster Hospital Management Board,- 1999-2004 – Paymaster Ministry of Education – 2004-2005 – Revenue Officer Ministry of Information – 2005-2007 – Paymaster Ministry of Youths & Sport – 2007-2009 – Paymaster Ministry of Economic Planning & Budget – 2009-2011 – Ch. Internal Auditory Ministry of Special Duties – 2011-2015 – Accountant State Specialist Hospital, Akure – 2015-2017 – Accountant Nigeria State Health Investment Project (NSHIP) (A-world bank project) – 2018-2020 – Project Accountant Office of the Deputy Governor – 2021- to 29th of November, 2023 as Director Accounts.
