Oke-Igbo Youths Kick Against Attempt To Subvert Laid Down Obaship Process

 

Oke-Igbo youths have kicked against attempt some people to subvert the laid down obaship process in the ancient community.

Oke Igbo Youths made this known in Akure on Tuesday during their peaceful protest against saying that their step was geared towards stopping some people that are trying to impose on the community , a traditional leader that will not be acceptable both legally and naturally by the youths and the KUOLE RULING HOUSE which is their turn to produce the next king of the ancient town.

In a press release made available to journalists during their peaceful protest in Akure, the Chairman of the KUOLE OLOJE ruling house, Dare Ojetayo and the Secretary ,Adewale Adeyemi said ,those behind the illegality should stop and think of the consequences that may follow their action.

” we need to remind all that care that the occupation of the Oluoke stool is on rotation basis ,from one ruling house to the other as contained in our chieftancy declaration”

” In this case , the last occupant was from AARE kugbayigbe and the next one should naturally and legally come from KUOLE RULING HOUSE”

” we therefore appeal to the government to caution those that are planning to throw Okeigbo kingdom to another round of chaos and crisis, which the magnitude may not be quantified ” the statement reads.

While reacting to them, the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affair, Alhaji Aminu Takuro appealed the the people of the community to go back to round table dialogue for the purpose of the development of Oke Igbo.

The Commissioner said there is nothing to gain in acrimony and hostility rather they should embrace peace.

“As for us here we are ready to follow due process, we will not want the similar thing to repeat itself. The community had Oba and the Court nullified it two times, so my charge to you now is that you should go home and make amicable resolution and we will follow.”.
