Odole Of Akure, Sir Chief Abiodun Adejo, Proprietor Preston Int’l School, Mr. Ajayi, Others Honour For Indelible Impacts
Members of the Association of Professional Bodies of Nigeria (APBN), Ondo State chapter and well wishers from all walks of life converged in their large numbers on Wednesday, October 18, 2023 to witness the inauguration of the executive members that will lead the association in the next one year.
The event was held at NMA event, Alagbaka Akure and many notable Nigerians from within and outside the state.
While speaking, the newly inaugurated chairman of APBN, Sir David Ologun said his vocal point among many is that his team will embark on membership drive and consultation with Government Ministries, Department and Agencies on issues and policies as well as engage Secondary School Students on career talk and a host of others.
The New Chairman said the association under his leadership will look into the ethical practices of the members inline with what is obtained in the primary union or association.
While also thanking members for reposing trust in his ability to serve, Sir Ologun further restated his commitment to excellent service.
Also in his remarks, the Ondo State Governor Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu who was represented, the Head of Service, Pastor Kayode Ogundele assured the body of government’s commitment just as he admonished them to continue to give their best in service of of God and humanity.
The guest lecturer Dr. Mrs. P. T. Fadiran, FCA who spoke on the role of professional bodies beyond survival in tough times.
Having administered the oath on the members the national leader of urged them to use every avenue they have for the good of all and sundry.
As part of the event,was presentation of awards of meritorious service to the Bishop of Ondo Catholic Diocese, Most Rev.d Dr. Jude Arogundade, the Odole of Akure kingdom, Sir Chief Biodun Adejo, the proprietor, Preston International School, Mr. Toyin Ajayi, and Major Gen. J. Omosebi (rtd) among other outstanding Nigerians for their excellent contributions to the development of the state and the nation at large.
In a chat with newsmen, the proprietor, Preston Int’l School, Mr. Ajayi while appreciating the body for the recognition said the award will spur him to do more for humanity.
He also assured Nigerians that he will continue to contribute more to advancement of humanity and existing body of Knowledge.
Also speaking, the Odole of Akure kingdom, Sir Adejo expressed gratitude to the professional body for the honour.
Also chatting with journalists, former PDP State Chairman, Dr. Omotayo Dairo state chairman as a man capable of discharging the duties of his office, expressed confidence in his ability to take the association to the next level and called on members to support him a great deal.
