Ulefunta 2023: Asiwaju of Igbo Shows Commitment To Development Of Akure

 

Asiwaju of Igbo in Akure, High Chief (Dr.) Uzoroji Tizuwnwemeke Unitus has renewed his commitment to contribute maximally towards the advancement of Akure community and Ondo State in general.

He made this known while speaking with journalists at Democracy Park, Akure during the grand finale of 2023 Ulefunta Festival.

Asiwaju of Igbo in Akure, said his commitment towards the advancement of his host community was dated back to his youthful days and that he will not relent in doing more stressing that many of his investments are based in Akure.

Dr. Uzoroji Tizuwnwemeke Unitus who Mobilized members of Igbo Community to attend the event in large numbers pointed out that the festival will further foster unity among the residents of the community whether Indigenes or not.

In his words: “It’s part of what I promised on the day I was being coronated as High Chief of Akure kingdom to use all at my disposal for the good of Akure and it’s people, I will remain committed to it all the days of my life.

“Like wise, I have been encouraging all my subjects to also use their talents and resources to advance the course of development of Akure kingdom and all it’s residents.

“I have this opportunity to congratulate Deji of Akure kingdom, and all Akure sons and daughters on this glorious occasion of Ulefunta Festival 2023.

“My prayer for Oba Aladetoyin Ogunlade Aladelusi and all Chiefs of Akure Community for the love Akure people have towards visitors is that God will continue move them forward and give them grace to continue to facilitate the development of Akure and all it’s residents.

In the same way, he advised newly installed Chiefs to see themselves as ambassadors of Akure community in all areas of life saying that they should see their appointments as opportunity serve God and humanity.
