As Schools in Ondo State have reopened for 2023/2024 academic calendar year the some of the principals of the leading schools have called on parents and students and other relevant stakeholders to play their roles effectively as to enhance performance of the students in this new session.
Reporter of the Democrat News Magazine who was at Fiwasaye Girls’ Grammar School gathered that everything has been put in place for smooth take off of the new session with the view to keeping bar of excellence high in the school.
The Principal, Ambassador Omobola Temitope Ojoge who has been setting great record since her inspection as the administrative Head of the school said she will not relent in her consistent and time to time innovative ideas towards educational advancement in the state.
In his comment, the Principal of Aquinas College Akure Mr. Adebisi Jimbola who promised to raise the bar of excellence high the school appreciated the cooperation of Parents which he said culminated to the resounding success recorded in recent years.
Jimbola said that the management of the school will be having meeting with the authority of Catholic Mission on how to administer the school before it is finally handed over to them.
From their stables, the Principals of St Louis Girls Grammar School Akure, Mrs. Mabel Antete, CAC, Grammar School, Mrs. Mercy Adetimehin and Mr. Ogunleye Oke-Owo of Oyemekun Grammar School Akure, and Mr. Sunday Principal of Army Comprehensive High School Akure they made known their readiness to serve and to put all their wealth of managerial experiences to bear in advancing the course of education in the state.
Also in their separate interview with the journalists, representative of school management of Omolere Group of Schools and Proprietor of Caston College Akure Mr. Victor Fatoki noted that private schools have been up and doing in support educational policies of government at all levels.
They noted that due to economic downturn in the Nation response to financial obligations have been very low.
