The newly installed Olubule of Ibulesoro in Ifedore Local Government Area of Ondo State , Oba Oluleke David Ogunlade, the Opokiti II has made known his readiness to promote unity, culture and structural development of the community within a shortest possible time.
Oba Ogunlade made this known while speaking with the Democrat News Magazine in his palace on Thursday saying that he has put the necessary machinery on motion to fast track the development of his community as the 10th Onibule of Ibulesoro.
In his words: “Before I came on board I had already had in mind some of the agenda towards the advancement of our people and the community. Firstly, to promote unity among Ibulesoro sons and daughters both at home and abroad I have reached out to them on the need to come together to foster development.
“Gone are the days when people are scared of coming home to build, it is no longer like that today. We have to make sure that all and sundry participate actively in the development of our town because government alone can not do it, it has to be a collective effects.
In the same way, our culture should be given pride of place. In those days we used to have a robust culture. I also have in mind to promote education among our youths.
“When I was President of Students Union of this community I encouraged ladies to further their education as to produce quality people that will help to build the community.
On peculiarity of the community, he said: “In those days people come from far and near to buy quality clay pots in our community. We are coming back to such business and to have a very viable market.”
“I retired as a Deputy Director in Ministry of National Population Commission. I will use my experience and connection to facilitate industries that will boost our economy and that of the state in general.”
He also promised to build ultra modern community Palace for the community in order to boost the image of the community stressing that Obas had been reigning in his own personal house.
Oba Ogunlade appealed to government of Ondo State to assist in construction of the road linking Ibule to Aule and other parts of the state for easy vehiclular movement.
He also encouraged the well to do people of the community to return home and form alliance for the development of Ibulesoro saying that the land of Ibule is the best for Cocoa plantation in the whole of Southwest.
While speaking on Local Government Development Council Areas (LGDCA) he commended Ondo State Government under the leadership of Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu and pointed out that it is an opportunity for Ibule to produce next Chairman of the new Development Council Area as agreed by other communities in the same zone with Ibule.
The commissioner for Chieftaincy affairs, Alhaji Takuro who made the presentation on behalf of government charged traditional rulers to always support government in the bid to ensure peaceful co-existence in their domain.
Some good will messages from Mr. Clement Oluwasogo , secretary to the council, Mr Collins Awoseye and the Senior Legislative Aide , SLA , to Honourable Akingbaso , Mr Oluwole Fakologbon, the chairman of Ifedore Council of Obas , Oba Aderemi Adefehinti of Ilara Mokin, Oba Oluwadare Ojo of Ipogun and a host of others.
