Ondo NIQS Commences Building Of Multi Million Naira Office Complex In Akure

The Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyor (NIQS) Ondo State Chapter under the leadership of Professor Adewole has commenced the construction of multi million naira office Complex in Akure.

The National President of the Institute QS Opeyemi Sonubi who laid the foundation of the Secretariat and launching of 60m said Ondo State chapter of the Institute is doing them proud.

the National President further commended Ondo State Chapter of the Institute, saying it’s stands tall among other State Chapters across the country.

Sonubi also commended the cooperation among the South West Zones of the Institute, he urged them to continue in such manner, saying it is a sign of oneness and unity which is good for the body.

The President further saluted the courage of the present Chairman for taking bold steps regardless the hard situation in the country..

He enjoined members of the Institute not to be afraid but rather to remain focus in ensuring the building project is completed within the stipulated time.

In his welcome address, the State Chairman of the Institute, Prof Awodele appreciated the effort of the past Chairmen whose contributions have led to the turning of sod of the Institute Building.

He added that the need to have good Secretariat befitting of the status of the Institute led to the laying of the foundation without minding the economy reality of the country saying there’s no better time than now.

The Chairman pleaded with members to support the project, seeing it as a collective project with their financial commitment.

The event was graced by past Chairmen of the Institute, Fellow of the Institute, Chairmen of Osun and Ekiti Chapters, Members, QS students of FUTA among other invited guests.

President of NULGE in Ondo State comrade Bola Taiwo who donated towards the advancement of the institute said that the leadership of the institute has been doing well.
