OSAPV INAUGURATES PIONEER EXECUTIVE MEMBERS
Members of Ondo State Association of Photographers and Videographers (OSAPV) have inaugurated the pioneer executive members who will drive the development of the association for the next four years.
The members of the association and dignitaries converged at NUJ Event Centre Alagbaka, Akure last week as the leaders of the association were charged to put in their best towards the development of the association.
The new executive members are Akinlolu Ayodeji- State Chairman, Oluyemi Babatunde- State Vice Chairman, Ipinmoye Olumide-State Secretary, Olujayetan Mathew- Treasurer, Ojomu Akinwemimo- Financial Secretary, Emanuel Samson- State PRO1 and Fapohunda Joshua-State PRO2.
Others are, Muatapha Abdulrasaque- State Welfare 1, Adelabu Folasade- State Welfare 2, Adelaye Adeniyi- State Police 1 and Olasunkanmi Adedayo-State Police 2.
While speaking with journalist at the occasion, Chairman of NLC in Ondo State, Comrade Victor Amoko who was represented by Comrade Afolabi Oluwafemi Chairman of Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria Ondo State branch and treasurer NLC Ondo State pointed out that their interest is well protected under section 40 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
“What they are doing here is protected under section 40 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, they should not be intimidated by any group or where they came out from.
“If by tomorrow some of them feel they cannot cope and move out the same section 40 of the Constitution protect them. It allows people of the same mindset and interest to associate without any hiccups and promote economy benefits”.
He therefore charged the leadership and entire members of the association not to entertain any fear but rather they should be courageous in prosecuting their business.
Comrade Olufemi encouraged the members of OSAPV to be creative in handling their jobs stressing that dexterity makes a lot of differences in photography and that they should be smart in their action and thinking.
“They should listen to the yearnings of their members and there is nothing stops from have studio of their own where they will be printing at a reduced rate for the benefit of their members and society at large.”
Also in their goodwill messages, the representative of Photo Tropicana, Mr. Michael and Mrs. Moshood Adetola, Director Olat Digital Colour Lab expressed satisfaction with the performances of members of OSAPV and urged them to keep the flag flying.
In the same way, they called on them not do anything that will bring the name of the association into disrepute rather what will make them great among their counterparts around the world.
Earlier, in his acceptance speech, the new chairman of the association, Comrade Akinlolu Ayodeji who was full of joy said he had prepared himself to ensure the development of the association in Ondo State.
Ayodeji noted that his administration would ensure equal right of their members as to foster unity and progress not only among members much more the general society.
He therefore called for cooperation among the members of the association.
On his part, Oluyemi Babatunde- State Vice Chairman who spoke on behalf of other executive members made known their readiness to work together for the development of the association in Ondo State and called for oneness of the members.
