HUNTERS IN ONDO STATE SHOW READINESS TO COMPLEMENT OTHER SECURITY AGENCIES IN COMBATING CRIMES
The Commander of the Association of Hunters and Forestry Security Services, Ondo State Command, Amb. Emmanuel Adedayo has made known the readiness of members of the association to work in tandem with other security agencies in the state to ensure a crime free society.
Commander Emmanuel Adedayo dropped the hint while speaking with the journalists shortly after their monthly meeting held at Odundun Hall, Ile-Oluju on Saturday 24th of June 2023 as members across the state were well represented.


Adebayo pointed out that Federal Government of Nigeria under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is being awaited to give final approval of the association therefore called on all the elders of the group to mobilize more people to join hunters.
He also used the occasion to highlight some of the importance of Hunters and Forestry Security Services as the closest to the grassroots and that they are well spread into various localities across the 18 Local Government Areas of the state saying that whenever any arrest is made is being handed over to police for prosecution.


On discipline, the commander charged the members to show high level of respect to one another especially those who senior them in ranks and files.
As part of welfare package for the family and members of the association, he pointed out that the association had signed MoU with an insurance company on life insurance cover for members.
In the same way, Adedayo noted that the leadership of the association had organized training for members in various places. “Our members have been trained at Oyin Akoko, Lokoja and Abuja respectively that is the reason they performed well at their parade as you can see here today and we will not stop.”
The Ondo State Commander urged the members of the association to be dedicated to their duties as their promotion would come at a time they don’t expect stressing the leadership of the association is taking inventory of the performances of all the members.
Also speaking with the Democrat News Magazine, the Ondo State South Senatorial Area Commander, Chief (Hon.) Omobamidele Tayo described hunters in the state as a very important arm of security calling on all stakeholders to give them maximum supports to enable them prosper in their activities.


Omobamidele Tayo said that time to time training, discipline and dedication to duties made his men excelled at their display and parade at the occasion.
In the same way, he called on various organizations within and outside the state to employ the services of members of hunters and forestry security services.
Some of the officers that were ranked at the occasion include Ogboru Joseph as Officer for Special Duties, Adetifewa Ebenezer as Finance Officer, Kareem Kazeem as Deputy Finance Officer, Adejayan Kehinde as Divisional Hunter Officer, Ojeola Nathaniel Sesan as State Officer in charge of Training and Development and Afolabi Olatunji David as Officer in charge of Gender and Child Protection.


In their separate interview with journalists they made known their readiness to use their new offices for the development the association, Ondo State and Nigeria in general.
They also used the occasion to appreciate the leadership of the command in Ondo State under Amb. Emmanuel Adedayo and their Area Commander, Chief (Hon.) Omobamidele Tayo for the job well done to move the state and the region forward drastically.
