The Oluka of Uka Community, Isaepe Quarters in Owo Local Government Area of Ondo State, Oluka Ojo Adelami has donated trophy and cash as part of his contributions towards the advancement of sporting activities in Imade College, Owo.
Oluka who was special guest at the 75th Annual Inter House Sports Competition within the premises of Imade College, Owo (ICO) on Wednesday of March 15, 2023.
Notable Nigerians that had passed through the College at one time of the other were in attendance to add glamour to the Annual Inter House Sports Competition they described as unique one.
Speaking at the event Oluka, Ojo Adelami said the occasion affords the old and current students of the great College to interact with sense of nostalgia.
Adelami who left the College about 45 years ago has been making impacts on the people within and outside his community which is evident in his generous donation of trophy and cash to the school.
In his words: “This event is very unique because this is the school I passed through over 45 years ago. The chairman of the occasion happened to be one of the old students of the school about 40 years ago.
“I have this honour and privilege to appreciate the leadership of the school for always taking proactive step towards the development of Imade College.
He also used the medium to appreciate the Governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu for providing enabling environment for educational advancement in Ondo State.
Oluka Adelami applauded Olowo of Owo Oba Gbadegesin Ogunoye the way he has been providing traditional leadership for Owo Kingdom praying that God will continue to grant him wisdom and understanding to take Owo Community to a greater height in all ramifications.
Earlier in his welcome address the Principal of Imade College, Owo, Mr. Toluwalase Fasawe appreciated the contributions of the Old Students’ Association towards the building of the school.
While thanking generous donation of the chairman and the Oluka Adelami Fasawe called on others to emulate their virtues and generosity.
Other personalities that spoke at the occasion charged the students of the school to be dedicated to their studies as to become good examples for other to emulate in the nearest future.
