ADEBISI JIMBOLA BAGS PILLAR OF EDUCATION IN NIGERIA

The principal of Aquinas College, Akure, Mr. Adebisi Jimbola has been honoured as a Pillar of Education in Nigeria in recognition and appreciation of his numerous contributions towards educational advancement in Nigeria.

The award was bestowed on him and some other Secondary School Principals in Ondo State by African Education Monitor during its annual Education Summit at Adegbemile Cultural Centre, Akure last week.

While speaking with the Democrat News Magazine and other journalists shortly after being decorated and received insignia of honour, Jimbola expressed joy and happiness for the honour bestowed him among many people.

He promised to do more in contributing maximally towards the advancement of the existing body of knowledge the state stressing that to whom much is giving much is expected.

Mr. Jimbola also used the occasion to appreciate Mr. Governor for his great contributions to educational development in the state saying that Governor Akeredolu paid for WAEC fees of all SSS three students in Ondo State.

In his words: “Our Governor should be appreciated for his wonderful contributions to the system in Ondo State, not only this, he paid salary of teachers as at when due.

“It is our responsibility to keep supporting Mr. Governor in his bid to implement policies on education as to reinvigorate the sector in Ondo State.

In the same way, he charged other relevant stakeholders to join hands together in order to advance the course of education in Ondo State and Nigeria at large.
